yeah thats exactly what I was thinking when it randomly went away after about 40 miles of driving.

changed the hoses last night
woke up in the morning and noticed a small drip from the bottom hose to rad.
so I fixed it and added some more fluid
but then it came back

only other thing I did was pump 91 on a completely empty tank

but i'll wait until the check engine light comes back and see what the code is.

is "floating" cell the right term anyway??

i guess you could call it an interment cel. next time it gets thrown just check the code on the ecu.

Even if the CEL isn't lit, the code might be saved in the memory. Try jumpering the connector/wire (you're obd1 right?) and see if the CEL starts blinking a code. if you jumper it and it comes on solid, then there are no codes in the memory.

sounds like a coolant air bubble or something. sometimes the water is flowing fine, other times its getting "stuck".

james, i wouldnt have made the trip to eibach with a CEL. especially if its coolant related. that could have been a costly mistake.

yeah, mine overheated yesterday because a blockoff nipple came off of a small water port on the back. Never smelled coolant, but a good bit came out. Put a new plug on the port, put coolant in and drove the next 3 miles home. And looped that nipple to the other nipple I had blocked off. Can't have that **** happening too often. James, you definitely need to check your codes. If you havent reset your ecu, they should still be stored in memory.

I'm curious how all you guys have your clutch cables routed in the bay? I had mine under the IM, kinda hidden the whole way to the lever. this worked fine for a little over a year, but part of the cable broke right above the threads and some of the threads broke off as well. I had to replace it and i now have it routed over the IM and distributor so it goes straight down to ensure there is no pressure on that point again. I cant afford to buy a new cable every other year.

Can anyone recommend a good set of street tires to me and where to get them? Right now I'm looking on tire rack, and found a set of Bridgestone RE960AS I would like to get. I'm looking for a good balance of wet/dry traction but better wet than dry. I hate driving in rain and the more confident I am in my tires, the better.

here is the link to the tires I'm talkin about.

those pole positions are the best all season tires i've ever driven on. they are GREAT in all categories. the only other tire i would even look at is Yokohama AVID H4S, or maybe Sumitomo HTR H4's. my buddy has a Scion TC and they come with the Sumitomo's stock. His car does pretty well in all weather conditions.

The Pole Positions are the BEST tire in this category that i've ever seen.

Thanks for your input man. They look like a very good tire by the reviews and such. Just wanted to hear some personal experiences before I buy them.

Hey Ryan (rywire), how much would it cost for a b series tuck harness? With those yellow labels and all. Obd1 distributor plugs, and maybe include a bulk plug with instructions on pinning my stock tower plugs to it.? Go ahead and make it a vtec harness too, since I'm sure I will go vtec sometime in the future.
