Everything you're saying is recognized by me and understood. I know safety, I know I'm playing it close, but I have no choice in that car. It is a street/track car and therefore, your suggestions were taken into consideration a long time ago, but I need that seat to adjust and I like the fact I can take out my harness.
All that aside, my main point is this. At least I'm running a roll bar on track, unlike half the people out there with fixed back buckets and no roll bar.
Anyways...this discussion is a moot point. That car was retired from track duty after that event. It's too nice to beat up on so it's getting restored since I'll be buried with that car. In a year or so I'll build a full-on time attack car. Something with a longer wheel base and K-series powered.
I do understand your points, just recognize that I've already thought of everything you're saying.

im pretty sure those are for 90-91, arent they?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yeah i saw those, the ep3 fitment throws me off. How would they work in both a crx and ep3?
Its so [freak]ing hard to find clean mudflaps

I'm not 100% certain those will fit the 90-91 crx. yes, the website says it but it also says EP. they have those rails on a 6-8 week wait time too. they are built to order and are coming from japan. they might fit the 88 floorpan, thats my best guess.

About a year ago, I called Memory Fab about those rails on their site. Pretty sure I remember them saying the EP/EF is a typo. They told me they could build some to fit the chassis with door mounted belts, but wouldn't guarantee that they'd be low.

Someone please explain to me why having the door mounted seatbelts is a problem when choosing aftermarket seat rails?

The "bolt pattern" if you will, of the seats is different is different between the chassis' that have door mounted seatbelts vs. the JDM/88 USDM style pillar mounted belts.
The bolt holes are in different locations on the floorpan, and the design of the 89-91 door-belt version gets in the way of mounting a seat super low and still maintaining full sliding/adjustability from what I've seen.
All of the ones I've seen have been custom built, and the seat is made stationary. It's just a lot easier to find JDM tuners that make a set of rails that fit the JDM/88 chassis.

There are bolt in options. I'm pretty sure my friend had a Sparco rail/slider set up in his 90 Si hatch, or you can go to Wedge Engineering and have them make you one. That can get a little pricey though.
just picked up some amsoil and engine flush for the crx. to get oil changed this week. i got an 88 crx, so i can just use the nagisa, bride, etc rails. chase welded the 88 seat mounts into his crx.

check out Wedge Engineering. i've been told that they can make seat rails for anything. super low, too.
EDIT: http://www.wedgeengineering.net/
looks like they have the application on the site 89-91. They are in America, too.

I have the wedge bracket for my '89 hf ('88 floor plan). They are okay, but pricey.

so after about a year of having my b16 in my car w/ no check engine light I now have one
only thing I did was change my rad. hoses and I now having a "floating" C.E.L.
symptoms:
high idle. Almost like a exhaust leak its about 2k
when I drive I can't go past 4750 rpms or it will bog.
ha done it three time today
got gas. Started the car and C.E.L. came on immediately
drove on the free way for about 40-50 miles with it on would no go past 4750 rmps or if I did it would bog.
then it just went away. This was on a 90 mile drive
Drove it home with no problems no C.E.L.
went to the beach for 4 hours.
started car and C.E.L. came back. Popped my hood and the high idle and C.E.L. disappeared.
Got back in my car to drive and it came back.
Put the car in gear and it went away
drove home (15 mile drive) and it magically comes back. Same symptoms
anyone have any ideas??

I'm not sure if this can cause a CEL, but the idle issues sound like they could be a large air bubble in the cooling system since you said you changed radiator hoses.
First step to fixing the problem is find out what code its throwing.
