So I'm doing a swap on a freinds 89" HF CRX. I'm putting in a D16A6 (si). I had planned to use the crank pulley & crank bolt off of the HF motor on the A6. How ever the HF bolt is bigger than the A^ crank bolt.

I've tried differnt bolts from diffrent bolck. D & B series and the one on the A6 is smaller. Is this only on this motor?

Also Let em make shure I got this rite aswell.

HF axcels will fit in the SI tranny, but SI axcels won't fit HF. ??? </TD></TR></TABLE>

is the threaded section physically smaller or is it just the head?

on the actual pulley does it fit to the crank properly?/is the i.d. the same?

as far as the axles go you can use teh hf axles in the si tranny. it is the outer joint that is different. thus why people who do bswaps on hf's and std's have to get different knuckles.

Today I got clotheslined by a tree limb in a thunderstorm!

Speaking of wrenching, yeah honestly the crx hasn't needed anything special done to it since I did all that work when i first bough it. It's time for new tires and brakes and soon a timing belt/waterpump etc, but at that point I'll just swap in another d series and do it then. I'm at 177k and u've seen how shiny it is. Just have rock chips in the front end.

This seems to be the big WI debate, as this will by my next major expense. I'm wondering if by using a b18 with the b16 head, will header ground clearance be improved? I'm still really leaning toward the ITR header.

your deckheight will be taller now andy...i don't know if that header you have will clear anymore. the type r header will for sure but how far down it hangs is a different story.

Also, once again. Are the HF axcels going to fit/work in the Si Tranny/motor?

I havent had a chance to take alot of pics and its disrespectful to take pics without asking over here ie.. peoples cars. I will sneak some in though trust me. Today we havent gone anywhere because my girl has food poisoning or something that is tearing up her stomach. Hopefully she will be better by tomorrow so we can do some site seeing.

So far the majority of the cars here are toyotas. However, I have seen at least 10 Skylines. I saw like 3 GTR's and a 4 door. About 90% of the cars here have window visors and power folding mirrors.

We drove past 2 honda dealerships last night but I didnt see a parts department so I dont know about getting parts. Its going to be really hard to get anything I really want to get like t-bars because of the language barrier.

depends on where you got the swap from and whom you got it from and how much you got it.

No. You cannot use your stock crx ecu to run a B16. Get yourself a b16 ecu.
