JESUS CHRIST! We got our 1800 sq ft home for 96K with a big *** fenced in yard. But it also isn't in a highly developed area and was a bank repossession. We have everything we need here, but its a boring town. Not a lot of nice restaurants, no movie theater, or good bars/clubs...

I bet you CA guys wish you could build a 1522sqft brick house with 2 car garage for $140k.

Just the land to build something like that in San Diego would cost $140k in itself
But on the housing subject, my dad is a part-time realtor and we're going looking for my first property here in the next week or so.

Very true. There are some crazy expensive areas in the North East. My one sister bought a 2,050 sq ft. home in the Mojave Desert of California for $314,000. My other sister purchased a 1,001 sq ft. home in the San Francisco Bay Area for $415,000. Haha. My sisters house can almost fit in my other sisters 950 sq ft., 3 car garage!
The only way I can afford something in the bay is with a second income...and I'm not keen on trying marriage again any time soon.

My friend's dad is the developer for this edition. Ironically, he lives in a $100k house, not $600k.

Our 1100 SF house w/2car garage was $175,000. Next house will have a 3 car so I can park both cars inside. The wife gets 1 spot, even though I've tried to talk her out of it

Man Joe, see the emotion you stir in this thread, lol, it was like you were gonna give up your first born. I think a big part of all this mess is that you wnet from a complete car, to starting the next phase, to jumping ship into a different plan that made sense, but just way too fast.
Take your time, get away from the project for a bit and see where you stand. Who knows, for you it may be better off without it, but you know as well as the rest of us here, once you sell, you'll have a hell of a time trying to get it all back if you change your mind.
Not to mention, SOME OF US WOULD LIKE TO ACTUALLY SEE YOUR PROJECT FINISHED, lol. I'm not doing anything nearly as big scale as some of you guys, but i'm definately in no rush either.
And if anything I say helps, you can thank me by keeping your car...or throwing anyparts you want my way, lol.

Anyone else having weird issues with your "Recent Topics" list not matching up with the actual thread?
Example: My recent topics lists the last post by streetwerkz @ 5:40 pm. I can also look down and see his post when I'm in the Reply page. BUT, when I'm on the last page of the thread, the last post shown is by g2_teg_. Even after i refresh the page, it stays like that.

Dude the car is worth what 10 grand? Houses are what 500-1 mill. How can you justify selling something worth 10 grand that you poured so much time and effort not to mention all the friends you have made because of it in order to try and buy a house which is more than 50 times as much. If it were a 150k Ferrari then I could understand but it doesnt make much sense to me. Sell the ITBs like you said and finish it off, dont sell it, your going to regret it im telling you.
should be soon enough. all i'm waiting on now before start-up is the RyWire harness. i have been nickel and diming myself to death with this car lately....
$5 here, $15 there....adds up quick.
