Same old, broke as hell as always lol. Just hella busy cause of school ...recently picked up a B17a1 swap, GC/Koni/tophats, Full race traction bars, and a crapload of other stuff but no time to put anything on. As for the car though haha. You know how it is-- I ripped it apart again

Did you ever end up selling your old B16 swap?

Anyone here put a y7 in their EF? I'm having issues with distributor compatibility. Without cramping the chat here, I'll just link. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2249868

It's a D16Y7 in my EF and running a D16A6 distributor, which is causing issues.

Wtf, tires?! Those better have been some crazy R-compound tires or something . You pretty much had the motor good to go for BAR.

Naw, no H2b...I just needed something cheap, legal, DOHC, and Vtec to get me through college . If I ever hit the 6 figure range a few years from now I'll be sure to throw a K20 or something better in there haha. But until then, California smog and being broke from school

Can you run R-compound tires on the streets? Other than the low tread wear, does the heat cycling shorten their life?

Now to my knowledge, the y7 and y8 both have a cam that is degreed 7degrees advance on the cam.
I know when u try to run a y8 off a p28 map it eventually blows up due to timing issues.

I put 20k miles on a set of Azenis on my RSX back in the day. It sucked in the rain, though.

They must of been the old azenis? My newer ones in 14 seemed to do pretty well in the rain.

Yeah, the older ones. They did fine in the rain until they had about 25% tread left.

Sure...they're dot approved, but it would be a waste of money to drive them on the street. You won't really heat cycle them unless you're tearing up mountain roads so they would last a bit longer than you'd think.

I have a set of the older ones too. I don't think they are the good in the rain at all. But as far I know they are not R-compound.

I would assume R-compound would only last about 8-10k miles on the street. If that.

Ya, azenis are not r-comp tires, they are just 200 tread wear. My r-comp's are 100 wear, and nicks were 50 I think
