Just for fun and games, see if the roof skin is available for a 90 hatch. No sunroof. I've looked around, and I'm told it is no longer made or available. I've checked with several Honda dealers and a specialized parts place. </TD></TR></TABLE>

part numbers for the DX and STD are different...

I checked them both and you're right, nobody has em.

I also checked 89 just to be safe. the part numbers are different for those also.

and its a negative on those too.

but...... i'm waiting on a call back from majestic honda on some parts that the catalog says are discontinued but they claim to have in stock. i'll ask about the roof skins too.

when i get some free time, im going to call american honda in torrance about some parts that dont say 'discontinued' but say 'backorder' in the catalog with no ETA. sometimes when you call, they will release an ETA and i can order the parts on urgent back order and actually get them.

majestic hasnt called me back. but i went through their order process on the website and its letting me order the carpet.

i think hatchmo works for honda parts too.

ive been doing it for years on and off at 3 different dealerships, so ive learned a lot of cool tricks here and there. i can get EDM and JDM parts too. which isnt too easy for the average parts employee.

The roof on my hatch is a little messed up, and I entertained the idea of replacing it. I did find the part listed at majestic honda and at a dealer in chicago, but it's not available. I spent a reasonable amount of time looking for one, so I'd be suprised if it's available. Not to mention it's close to $400 w/o shipping.

Just thought I would ask. I'm not going to spend the time or money replacing it though.

Too much money. The problem was the cross supports were seperated from the sheetmetal, so it got wavey. I was able to fix it so it's about 8/10 now. The cost of the panel, rewelding and painting was out of budget. If the car is quick, I can deal with some small dents.

My repair:

Other than color, does anyone know the difference between an hf/dx/si carpet. Are they all made of the same quality material ?

Not anymore, but i still have alot of friends on there and my lifetime discount. My new job is nice though and when i get seniority i want to move to a 4pm-midnight shift and go back to the dealership do some 8-3 shifts and weekends.

Thanks! It's much better on gas than my Tundra that's for sure! The trailer has 4" drop axles so it's pretty much slammed. You can see how the deck of the trailer is lower than the bumper of my truck. Thank goodness the drivers side fender un-bolts for easy door access.

i'd love if my current trailer had an open center in .the deck... it'd make rather nice for oil changes, repairs, etc, on track.. oh, and what wheels are those?

Haha, that's awesome.

To answer you guys, they are Bridgestone Super R.A.P.'s 14x6, +38 offset. Originally, they are white and the white center caps are hard to find. These are freshly powdercoated silver with 195/55 Azenis (older 215's)
