Just picked this db2 up all virgin minus the wheels and some skunk 2 springs.



Its got some really sloppy shifter action going on, where do you guys get the replacement stuff?

 

where do you guys find db2's like that, I wish I could of found one.

 

My buddy bought it off some 60 year old Vietnamese guy about a month ago who was the original owner. Then we made a deal

Seriously. ATS*VEEE's DB2 is amongst one of my favorites, it was so simple yet so clean. I've even had long, in-depth conversations with him concerning his car before he sold it, his whole set up, etc. Those don't even look like Slips.

Jesus...this car is mint. Is that a replica type r lip? Love the paint color & 92-93 bumper. Here's my DA9 when I first bought it. I'm a college student & I finish in may. I've already secured a job and have a list of things I want to do with this car (new paint, koni/gc, 1piece, bumper conversion, ls/v or h2b, etc). I bought it as auto BUT found a guy through craigslist to do the conversion for $600 labor. It's been 3 weeks and it'll be done tonight! got a b16 y1 put in

 

no its a JDP engineering lip that is painted.

 

the white DA looks pretty clean, hopefully you get done all of those things on your list.

btw, you're going to love the b16 trans

i got lucky on mine, had a friend selling a jdm b16 cable LSD trans and picked it up right when i found out he had it

on another note, i'd love to have the db1, change the lip and take off that bike rack and i would have an awesome daily

Believe it or not, I got my Y1 fully rebuilt from a member on the forum here for $495 + shipping. Would've gotten an S1 but didn't have cash at time. I can't wait for the b16 regardless If you want the guy's name PM me

I wish I had a fresh YS1 short geared with LSD. Can't do any circuit/autocross events until I get another transmission

 

I got my full b16 manual swap with everything for 425 :D

 

Do you have an LSD? I wouldn't mind going to a b16 trans from my GSR..

Yes YS1 would be great for what you do!

Yup, OBX LSD, despite what some may think about the brand this thing has proven to be a great diff and is still used by a few race cars, around here at least.

 

sorry for the noob question but a ys1 is an ls tranny correct? because i have a ys1. and today marks the day for my 10th front flat tire this year. i really need a damn alignment and i feel like an idiot i let it go on this long. my tires look perfect until about the most inner ~inch or two and nothing but wires.. luckily found some tires on craigslist for 100 for a set of 4
