DA Integra's Only
wow wth? wasn't it a brand new turbo?
whats the plan for the 18th? like what time are we meeting up because i have a thread up on tristatetuners.com to get a bunch of people to roll down to glenn bernie from the philly/nj area. i know the meet starts at 9am so what time were we planning on meeting at this pepboys? i need to know so i can plan when we are going to be leaving the philly area. i think if we meet at pepboys by 8:30-9am, then we should be able to assemble and roll to the meet by 10
So what's the plan with your ride? any warranty on the turbo? let me know if you need anything homie!!!!!
Yup, 100% brand new, fresh out of the Garrett box....... WTF!
Great luck I tell ya, great luck!
Kyle, don't understand what you're trying to get at with the last comment?
Well it has a 1 year mfr warranty on it, I have to send it to a Garrett distributor so they can inspect it before a claim is filed. I just know they are going to find some way to rape me on it and put it on me........

did you prime it before using it? you dont think maybe your sintered line got clogged somehow and starved it of oil do you? just tryin to dig for ideas here...
Yep! Mine broke in the middle of the Nashville Motor Speedway on the first day of Import Alliance this year. I made it all the way back to the hotel with no clutch. It was pretty hard to get going because I HIT EVERY SINGLE LIGHT THAT I POSSIBLY COULD.
There is no break in or need to really prime a turbo, once there is oil pressure, oil is shot through the turbo, which is perfect.
We are all pretty baffled. John and my buddy Jason were there with it on the dyno and checked, double checked and triple checked everything again before and after and everything was within an optimum operating environment.

Finally lowered my car and added the accord skirts. I have two sets of front mud flaps so i think I'm going to cut into one and have the skirt fit into the mud flap. See how that looks. If it doesn't come out right I'll trim the skirt to sit flush against the other set.

Going to sit here with my thumb up my butt and wait, not much else to do. Once again the car is stuck up at Absolute. No reason to tow it here really.
Waiting for someone to be like you didn't put the water line on it! LoL
Yea, I honestly don't know what to expect at this point however, this is the last straw with money I have for this thing right now. If it doesn't work out, I will just trailer it here and it can sit for a while. House and wedding stuff are eating up my $$$$.
I guess the good thing is that I had Absolute put the new turbo on because it was basically stuck up there. So it was either have them do it there and take no time or for me to try and trailer it somewhere, either my house or Jason's and do it there, then trailer or drive it back to dyno. But glad I didn't because that would have ended badly.
So I'm hoping with Absolute's backing we can get this resolved with Garrett.
ok i plan on having people meet at the I95 rest stop from de, nj and my area and then we can head out of there by 6:30 and that should be enough time for us to get there by 8-8:30am. hopefully people show up on time cause if not they are on their own.

I know plenty of people that have not though because once the engine cranks it will get oil.
