well the culprit was the timing jumped, I don't think anything is too messed up, but I should find out today, if so, then it is rebuild time!!!! If that has to happen, I am going to throw the b17 back in, I don't really want to, but It might have to be done........

As for the Pancake Racing re-issue wing, if everything works out with the buyer I'm actually selling it tomorrow! Sorry! But, it's hard to tell these days with people and he could flake out last moment. If that does happen I'll sell it to you I'll shoot you a PM later today or tomorrow and let you know what's up.

 

shoudnt need a timing light unless the dizzy is adjusted at all. ive had my tb jump once on my crv and my da and i just re-set it and made sure it was tight and all is well. sucks thst when i do things exactly how the oem honda service manual tells me to do things and **** goes south. it also happend to some kids car that i did a tb to.

i set the belt, turn the motor over 3 full revolutions, put tention on the crank pully, loosen the tensioner, and then turn it 3 teeth and then quickly tourqe it back down and 3 times this has made a belt jump a tooth. th last time i had my boy hold down on the belt by the cams and i tightened the **** out of it and all has been well.

thats all that ive been getting now adays. i have had 150 pm's in the last 4 months and ive only sold 2 things total. pisses me off when i waste that much time replying and sending extra pics.

whats the plan for the 18th? like what time are we meeting up because i have a thread up on tristatetuners.com to get a bunch of people to roll down to glenn bernie from the philly/nj area. i know the meet starts at 9am so what time were we planning on meeting at this pepboys? i need to know so i can plan when we are going to be leaving the philly area. i think if we meet at pepboys by 8:30-9am, then we should be able to assemble and roll to the meet by 10

herb, we can bang out your car in a weekend. if you decide to come home and finish it i will make sure i come up and help you wrap it up. i finished my car in a month and the was only 3 days a week. your car is sooo close, and i want to see it done. i should have the multi colored panels painted on my car by then so we can take some pics.

 

Yeah I know what you mean. Since I didn't put the wing out on the market to the public, I didn't get much of all that. I only got a few PM's here and there from people going out of their way to ask me about the wing personally. But the guy came through and bought it. I send it out this morning. Glad it'll be going to someone who will appreciate it

 

Arg so finally got everything straight with the car, put new turbo on and had it back on the dyno. About 10 minutes later and 1 part throttle pull the turbo failed. Locked up, the turbo had plenty of oil being supplied to it so no other reason to fail.
