maybe but in road racing hp is the least of the factors, like take a lotus for instance it has crap for hp but suspension and chassis makes that car feel and act like it has a huge amount of power. yet in drag racing if your not making power you lose most of the time

I HATE that damn thing, nothing but issues with mine and Innovate wouldn't replace it for me and they were pretty useless about troubleshooting it. After they went over all the settings and wiring and everything matched what they said they basically gave up.
Even bought a new sensor and still nada. Calibration is correctly performed too.

Depends what class your racing in, so HP does matter as well. It also doesn't have a lot of power because it weighs next to nothing, so you have to factor that in. Weight is huge to each type of racing as well.

And the same applies, for real drag racing there are classes and indexes where similarly rated cars are put together in a class.

But I see tons of expensive high hp cars lose to stock cars even, all in the driver!

Matt my friend craig did that ls crank and rods, in gsr block, he made 650whp with it. it was built and sleeved

Andy im just trying to make a 10sec pass besides have you ever gone in a 600whp and up honda. It pretty much gets pointless, even at the track you spin like crazy. I mean if i take it and it keeps making over 500 im not going to stop there, but thats my goal. should be enough to go mid to upper 10s at a good track

yea, I was just looking into it because I had a friend who was going to give me a bare GSR block but I found an LS that's in decent shape so to keep it easy I'm just going to stick with that.

Throw it up. I'm sure someone may buy it.
My rods/pistons are fine so I just need something cheap.
Wish I had to money to sleeve it!

Yeah, I know about Honda. I work for them. I used to watch them in F1. I watch Indy. I've read a couple Soichiro Honda biographies. And I can tell you for a fact that Honda doesn't give two ***** about performance, at least now.

cause performance isnt where the market is at. to the majority of the world. honda's are bought with reliability and fuel economy in mind.

Maybe not even road racing but just something like auto X, that's more local.
i've always wanted to try some form of road racing. i love tearing up back roads around here with my integra. i can only imagine how much more fun it'd be on an actual track. my da is just nowhere near good for a track though. its barely good enough for the road right now. if i could ever get all my bushings replaced, then it'd be ready...enough

yeah. it was something completely stupid and i'd love to do that build over again knowing what i know about it now. it ran so strong before it let go. id love to re-do it, make the appropriate changes, and add some skunk2 pro1's. would be a blast

gotcha. was just wondering why you only aiming for for 500 when you have a sleeved block. good enough though lol

Yeah maybe. I want to see a turbo Si. Or an S2000 replacement. Or an NSX replacement. Or an RSX replacement.Or a REAL CR-X replacement. Do you see where I'm going? Subaru, Mazda, Nissan, even Toyota (FT-86) have better performance cars than Honda these days.

the cr-z was never meant to replace the crx. that being said... i'd still love to have a cr-z!

bisi's cr-z is freakin awesome! and i love them in the factory white they come in. i would honestly prob take one of these over any of their current new models on the lots.

I drove one and it's a turd. Handling isn't so great either. I was left unimpressed. Not to be a Debbie Downer but I just don't have the affection for the H badge like I used to or like a lot of you guys obviously do. My next vehicle will be a Nissan, Datsun, or RX7 with an LS swap.

Yea I see where your going.
The production 1.6 turbo CRZ is supposed to be happening.
I was baffled when they canned the S2k and why they keep playing this game with the NSX as well.

Might be the case! I LOVE the S13 240 coupes, especially with the Silvia front clip. That, plus an LS1 (or 6??) would be ****.

Yeah they are nice cars when done right, a bunch of kids around the philly area and suburbs are trading their hondas for them, putting some crappy wheels and suspension on, painting them flat black and tell you (why would i paint it when i drift it?) and putting shitty beat up turbo motors in them. There are nice ones but not many
