Eh then I'd have to sleeve it to 81mm which is a waste IMO. And I only think there are a handful of people that do it, unless I want to put in tons of machine work.
Just seems useless to me.
If I sleeved the block I'd at least go up to a 2.0.
Then I'd need a new turbo because mine is kinda small(60-1) so it'll be tons of money!

Meh 81 mm is plenty when you can compensate with increased boost IMO. Of course I'm a little biased because I will be running an 81mm sleeved b16. Who needs torque?? I think the increased security is worth it in the short run and if your budget allows you can always step up to an 83 or 84 mm bore in a year or two. I like the idea of a smaller bore because I can scar my cylinder walls like 4 times before the sleeves are trashed. If I gouge an 84.5 mm cylinder then they're pretty much junked. There's obviously some flaw to my logic but I think the general idea is valid.

Your logic is fine.
I just see it as a waste, then if I want to expand I need to pull the motor again, get new pistons and have everything machined again.
Just seems like a waste to me.

I would put them on, they are worth what someone is willing to pay for them. There isn't a set price for them. You could probably get at least $500 or more for them if they are legit.

Hey guys,

Im trying to get a few fellow g2ic'ers together to show up to this local meet thing. It was huge the last two years so i figure it would be something cool to bring you guys to.

Im having a cookout at my "shop" (man cave) afterwards if you would like to make that as well. Drop me a line if you think you can make it. Just shoot me a pm.

Damn chaos is the man. Props for doing something like that. Not many left that are willing to extend the welcome to people anymore. I don't even live in the same country but I sure hope people go. I'd go if I could.

I like the Mugen side skirts, but they're too expensive for my taste unless you've got a garage queen. They're SUPER rare and I personally wouldn't risk putting them on a car that got driven very often. Last couple sets I saw for sale were in the $1000 range. If I found a set for $500 I'd buy it immediately just to hoard or resell.

I'm with Colin, and came to the conclusion a while ago my car is too much of a daily drive vehicle to do anything cool to the outside being in Los Angeles especially. As much as I'd want a bunch of stuff for my DA, I'm done with it (modding) and its use is to be driven daily with weekend racing events. I'm caring less and less how beat up it's starting to look. I'm leaning towards more of getting that S2000 soon enough as I can get a place with a garage though.
