really the only thing i'd be taking out for comfort is the motor mount inserts, they're just way too loud, me and my girl already have her car as the daily, but i dont think its fair to only use her car for the baby, so im trying to make it a little more even, ill probably buy her a crv or something soon, i was gonna sell my da and get a lexus or something but after all this work its hard to part with it

 

I would get something bigger if it's something to travel with a kid. I've never put any of my friends kids or any of my neices or nephews in my Da and never will. These cars aren't safe for that, to small

 

we'll see, we rarely go anywhere so i doubt it'll be used often anyways, mostly my girls car which is a civic sedan will be used but i just dont want to be shady about it and make her use her car 24/7

I wasn't referring to you directly. Just the general tendency of people to buy shitty tires. They spend tons of $$ on suspension and try to get the best and complain about the cheap suspension systems out there... then buy **** tires? wtf?

And my comment regarding BS on these boards was not directed at you either, simply that these boards can breed "keepin up with the jonses" type mentalities, especially when it comes to stuff that doesn't do anything for the performance of your car - only aesthetics. And I know that Matty is interested in function more than form. Like I said, I even got caught up in it recently - it's easy to do when you see everyone rocking expensive baller parts you drool over till you realize they aren't going to do anything for you except look pretty.

i get exactly what you're saying and there are so many times i wish i could just stop messing with cars and think how much more money i'd have, but i just cant do it. although, i guess the "getting older" part of me is coming out more in the ways of wanting the small comfort features like power options and a/c. i really wish i had some a/c right now. i try not to drive anywhere during the day right now cuz its too damn hot without a/c.

just keep your da. finish what you're doing right now. drive it for a while. its the down time that kills the love of the car i've come to realize. once you're actually driving it, you'll remember why you fell in love it to begin with.

New honda oem mounts aren't that much from online dealership sites. You'll love oem mounts!!! I have all new honda oem mounts and i can't feel my car being on at idle.

 

yeah right now i just have the oem mounts but with the poly inserts, at idle, i cant hear anything, anything higher than that and its super loud hahaha. If the two side mounts arent that much ill just buy new ones, looks like this weekend ill be getting AC reinstalled, new 02 sensor, new fuel filter, then hopefully next weekend new mounts and maybe some light tinting on the back windows and shampoo my rear seats

Yeah it is clean. I wish i kept my red 91 Da. **** was clean as **** and had Ac. Bought it for $100 and sold it for $2500. No rust just one faded door trim on the driver side that i respainted.
