C'mon Matt, you know you need some real tires on that thing. All that stuff you have on the car but running crappy tires I must be the opposite of everybody. I'll run sticky tires first before anything with stock power and that alone is full of enjoyment.

No, you're right but honestly no street tire will make a difference and I cant afford to drive around on radials!

If you have any suggestions I will gladly take them though.

man I am glad to be home! my girls daughter moved to orlando for all of a month, and she got home sick. So friday night I booked a flight down there to drive back with her, so she didn't have to do it alone. I left for orlando at 9:00am sat, got there at 11:30am. went sightseeing for a while, laid down for an hour, I tried to sleep, but couldn't, packed up the car, left at 12am, 5 stops, I drove the whole way through the night, pulled up to my house at 1pm today. damn that was alot of driving! It was fun and I would def. do it again!

Damn Dave Nice! How old is the daughter?!

Ok guys well here is an update on my trials and tribulations from yesterday! So it was hot, we were all tired and missed one crucial aspect of things. ****ING VTEC! LoL

Long story short, I had an issue with my ECU where now it is essentially a non-vtec ECU. To run Vtec I use a relay off the A15 pin for vtec. Well the tuner didn't know this and in the midst of my **** bagging I forgot all about it.

Got out to the car to look over some things and see the check box to enable the Vtec relay wasn't checked!
So long story short I made 360 non vtec lol!
Gotta head back up sometime this week.

Yup, I don't know how this is going to work out, hopefully the tuner will just do it for free....... I would assume that would be the process, he is a standup guy too so I think he may!

Stay tuned for round 2, guess I'll buy a bigger fan while I'm up there too!

it'd be nice if he would, you can hope anyhow. expect your numbers to go waaaay up now. if you were making that without vtec...omg i can only imagine what its capable of doing now!!

CRAPPPPPPPPPPPPP
Blew a hole in the heater hose that runs from the water neck to the manifold!
hahha guess I'll need to replace that tomorrow........ Sucks too I just put a bottle of water wetter in it too..

Also need to get a new heim joint for my traction bar. The inside bearing is gone so the wheel was traveling a bit on the dyno.

Matt she will be 19 on friday, I think thats why she came home, its her birthday, lol! man that sucks about the vtec, I would think John would have caught that when tuning, because you can see where vtec engages. I think he will hook you up for free, they are great people up there, and they make some sick rides!

Yea easy I know, but doing that **** outside in 100 heat
I will probably get to it after work, I bought it used but I have gotten free **** from Full Race for it in the past. But I need that now. There is an awesome fab shop around the corner called Auto Fab. They will have it. I just have to pull it off to make sure they give me the correct one.

Damn, so you have a 19 year old with you now? You're not that much older are you Dave? like 30?
Yea but it's tough to tell from looking at the graph, especially on a turbo car. At one point we even went over the came degree thinking that's where the power was, not one time did I think VTEC.
Easy mistake, no big deal!

Gotta talk to John today.

Gotta go home, pull the heim joint off, run to the fab shop, probably grab a few of them. Go home put it back on, remembering home may turns it took to pull it out. Go get a heater hose. Drain the coolant, put heater hose on and bleed the system.

Also trying to pick up a 12" fan from the fab shop and put that on as a puller.
My 10" pusher isn't doing anything at all!

Different, yes. But that's cause you know what you're doing. It boggles my mind that people can spend thousands on wheels or crazy engine parts then buy shitty falken ziex's. It's like training for years to compete in the Olympic 50 meter sprint and then showing up wearing flip flops. Keep up the good work Matty, and don't let the BS on these boards influence you too much or get you side tracked. I know I got sucked in for awhile with engine bay BS, luckily that track day was my medicine and I think I'm better now.

.................................................. .................................................. ...........

As I mentioned to Matty, it really doesn't matter what "street" tire I run, it will not make a difference on the road. This being said, I do not plan to run at the track on these tires, of course I will be on at least a 24" slick.

You guys road race, cool, different strokes for different folks!

Sure if I had the money I would drive around on drag radials or something similar but they run down FAST.

I love the insinuation that everyone else has no idea what they are doing too!

What's up with all the hate lately, maybe that's why i never post in here anymore. I think i might try to find a nice clean Da with working ac. It's almost to hot to want to even drive the car without ac, plus i don't know if i'm getting old but i don't think i'm gonna do anything else to my Da. I think i'm done.. sucks that i have a retarded amount of hours working on the car and the car is nowhere at the point of what i want it to be

i was thinking about that, but i'd have to sell my da, i figure no point in doing that as long as i can make my car just as comfy, so ill probably just get the a/c installed, do some more maintenance for reliability, maybe new rear shocks and probably some really light tint just to provide UV protection
