dude, that is the same exact problem i'm having with my freakin civic right now!! and for me its not the dizzy, or ANYthing i've tried for that matter. and i've tried everything i could think of. freakin driving me nuts!

yeah seriously... i've changed grounds, igniter, coil, complete dizzy, both fuse boxes, ecu, checked timing, checked valves (before concluding weak spark), have brand new plugs and wires. what the hell else is there to do/check?!

 

So you get no spark what so ever?

 

wow hope I dont run into that many issues..I really doubt its my dizzy because it worked fine I put it on shelf then installed it..Im wondering if maybe one of my wire is loose on harness..

mine has started twice, barely. but when it did start, it seemed to run fine. but since those 2 times, it just cranks and cranks and cranks, but doesn't fire up. i dont get it. especially after all the stuff i've tried and NOTHING worked. i'm completely lost right now. i think a friend is bringing a multi-meter over tomorrow night to go over everything

Luckily I rebuilt the dizzy in both cars recently.

My car was having the same problem.
Me ECU threw a code for the coolant temp sensor.
Swapped that and car runs great now.

My spark plugs were soaked with gas. Throwing too much gasoline into the combustion chamber at start up. Therefore wanting to turn on but quickly shutting off after a couple secs. Then nothing after that. Just crank.

 

what does a beauty like that go for?

When I was all butt-hurt about my car and wanted to sell it, I was asking 5k. Which I will point out is a lot but I figured with $1,500 wheels on it, 5k was a fair price....
