what is there to face palm about....
people are just telling you that anything above 2grand is alot and you should keep looking..
i paid 1300 for mine 9 years ago all original parts/retardedly low miles/one owner (older gentleman) and best of all no ebay stuff no where near it and it was because i was patient, i had seen a couple good ones but price was beyond my reach and a dealership for a 10+ yr car hell no...and then one day my mom called me and said mint civic come look and when i got there all i saw was a mint da to my surprice and since that day we have been together.....

point of story 2k too much and avoid craigslist

i'm in austin. I have a DA. It's not that hard to find good deals on them. yeah some of them may need a little work. but thats the beauty of the car. It has character. i got mine for $1200 a year ago at 150k miles on it. the front bumper needed paint and that was it.

^^took 5 minutes on craigslist
If that's what considered a good deal then i can see why he would spend the money to get a nice teg. Those are some shitty cars lol, but the 2 car deal is ok

wideband setup on mine as follows i run my wideband on two alligator clips one ground one battery no offset issues there! also if you have your gauge hooked up to the radio the offset can be really off! in my case i spliced the gauge and the controller wires together ran the power to a 12v source wired into the fuse box! took the brown wire and hooked it into pin d14 on my p75 ecu in my case...i tune my own car on ectune i had UGLY offset points where i would be at 14.7 the gauge would read 13 or sometimes 12.3 it got worse as i turned up the radio, accessories, etc. so what i did was run the serial cable to datalog with my ectune! idk what program you use to tune though btw the lm1 programmer signal is as accurate as it gets when your serial logging, also this applies to ectune or anyother program that allows you to log with the serial cable....you may need to get a serial to usb if you dont have one already $2.00! if you have your controller too close to your ignition system it will make it do some pretty weird things!
i just perform the calibration like it says in the manual......did you play with the wideband offsets in your tuning program?

Fixed my traction bar today, also put the fan on the back of the rad as a puller, seems to def run cooler now. Also had to throw some screw clamps on the rad hoses because the spring clamps were letting it leak a bit.
Turned the boost back to 15psi and it doesn't creep as much.

My shifter is super sloppy, I think it's time for a dc shifter linkage and shifter.

no thats not true at all. I just have more high end tastes. I still like well built DAs and respect them. I'd rather spend my time driving my S2k and TSX.
