Sorry, no. Do more research before you say something like that. Most don't have 1st hand experience with them because they're knock offs and they suck. When you start getting into the inner workings of you car and start messing with things like transmissions - you'll quickly learn that cheaping out is not going to save you money in the end. I've learned this by just reading countless threads therefore I'm lucky I can say I learned from other peoples mistakes and won't make the same mistakes. Therefore, I will never have 1st hand experience with cheap knock off companies for serious hardware.

So yeah, thinking everything is a knock of of everything is ludicrous. There are actual engineers working like you and me everyday that develop high quality parts for our market. Then, a company grabs a hold of the developed part and copies it's design with cheap materials and bam, you have your blox and OBX part.

So, what's the moral of the story? Instead of the engineer making a few bucks for his time and effort, you're happy giving your money to some moron who just copies the end product and takes your money and runs. He could care less about the negative outcomes you'll encounter down the road. That's how the market is.

But hey, if you're happy with Chinese parts then by all means, do your thing.

QFT. I only buy high end brand name stuff. Keeps the industry in the right path, making quality parts for quality consumers. You want to buy BLOX and OBX, enjoy dealing with the end result.

You shouldn't even be thinking about doing anything other then what is needed. You should sell your wheels and buy steelies with hubcaps then so you can have extra money for the baby instead of selling them to get another set of wheels

lol, or just train the baby to make wheels, that would be the best solution. Sweat shop in the garage. I dont know im seeing what my options are, i really dont like taking steps backwards when it comes to cars, such as selling parts because i need the money. I'd rather just have something of equal value that is more pratical ya dig

Selling wheels to have money for your baby is waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy more important than thinking that you are taking steps back because you are selling your wheels. I've know plenty of people that sold their cars for their kid just to buy something cheaper to have extra cash

thats cool for them. a DA is already a cheap car to maintain, i sold my lexus for that reason. Bottom line, the only reason im switching wheels is so i can raise up the car without looking like a retard, not to upgrade, not to down grade, just to raise up the car, or else i'd just polish my wheels and leave it how it is

There are only a few brands of manufacturers out there now that do R&D and extensively research their products and I am grateful for them!
My comment was more of a loose comment anyway.

But there is what my original post was about, you say they suck but didn't mention experience with them? So do you? Why do they suck, how have you personally had these parts fail???

I don't like the way you worded your response, comes off as if your talking down to me like I have no idea about building a car.......
I have taken everything apart, even my trans and have had the OBX lsd in my car for 4 years now, with 0 problems with it.
There are also an equal amount of HT members using this LSD with no problems as well. Several local race cars are using this diff as well.
I didn't "Cheap out", I bought the best available product IMO that was in my price range.

You read threads with people complaining, if I posted I was Obama would you believe that too LoL? Most of these failures probably come from shoty mechanic work or something else.

Sad to say I'm not on the hate Rota, blox, OBX band wagon and have had these parts on my car for years with, what you guessed it 0 problems?
Soo should I create a thread for you to read about people having no issues with these products?

I do enjoy dealing with the end result, a car that performs and drives well.

usually. I'm not willing to tempt fate. I'd rather not buy something that has a chance of imploding like an OBX LSD and stick with an OEM one that has proven itself for years before you could drive.

Yes but you said isn't everything a knock of everything nowaydays? No, not true at all in any sense. Loose or tight.

But there is what my original post was about, you say they suck but didn't mention experience with them? So do you? Why do they suck, how have you personally had these parts fail???
A part doesn't have to fail to suck.

I don't like the way you worded your response, comes off as if your talking down to me like I have no idea about building a car.......

Sorry but if you're happy with your chinese parts then yes I'm gong to assume you don't know how to build a car. I'm sorry if my meticulous posts are actually thought out and edited so it makes it seem like I'm talking down to you. It's just the way I write and make posts.

Gotta pay to play as they say. In the end people mess with Honda's because they're cheap but come to find out it's not the case and end up going for the knock off bin. This is why my car is mostly stock, if I can't buy the quality piece of engineering then I rather not have anything at all. I'm certainly not going to undue Honda's R&D to replace it with something that's going to make my car worse.
