whaaaat? why r u selling yur kit???? id be really sad to see a partout i loved yru build thread...and im gonna assume yur doin yur burnouts in second right??? when i was learning to drive i did mine in first and i would spin one wheelf off the line. are u preloading when u launch?? 1.9's arent bad for a da tho i pull high 1.7's... with a stock diff hydro gsr tranny...that guy above is right tho yur car isnt making the power to spin on slicks im making 265 ft/lbs and over the season i got it so i would just barely spin first and hook second hella hard.

1st gear was rev limiter as soon as i launched. i have my 2 step too high (6900rpm) and i was leaving on 8psi, which just lite the tire open after i launched.

2nd gear hooked but 1st was a joke

the track wasnt hooking for anyone yesterday though.

o well

lsd is being ordered this week and i will go back to the track after winter

What exactly are you referring to?
Traction Bar or Two Step?

2step either cuts spark or dumps fuel to keep RPMs at a certain range, and for turbo cars it helps build boost and hold it on a launch

the 2step in my car is for launching at the track w/slicks lol i am thinking about lowering it to 4-5 its at 6 right now i dont wanna break my new tranny lol

When I run on slicks I generally set tire pressure around 11psi and launch at 7500 RPM. You won't break anything if you are preloading the drivetrain and launching right

it takes a lot of wheel time to figure out your car and where the sweet spots are.

yeah, i just got my LS/V done this summer tracted it once with a ls Tranny spinning hard off the line w/street tires my best run was a 14.594 at 96mph i hope to hit low 13s high 12s with slicks, i have a y1 tranny now and a KAAZ LSD

how would do you preload the tires? i let the clutch out easy until i get rollin then let it go. think thats how i broke the LS diff lol

that's not necessarily correct. you don't need a 2 step to have a turbo car, or to run slicks for that matter. although it does help.

preluding is easy but it just takes time to get it good at it.

when you stage at the 2nd yellow light... i pull my e brake up and let the clutch out a little and you will feel the car load itself. when the lights drop, launch the car while putting the e brake down at the same time.

it helps with 60's foots a lot since the weight is already transfered to the rear when you take off.

Low 13s to high 12s may not be in your future. Granted you were on an LS trans but 96 mph.......... You need at least 106-108mph in a DA to hit high 12's.

This is the setup you ran the above time with on the LS trans???!?!?!?
Is that estimated HP?

I am by no means being a dick, just trying to educate ya

i plan to be making 230+ after this winter when i go and get dyno tuned, and some more add ons. right now i think im making atleast 190+ I have Skunk2 Tit Retainers, Skunk2 Dual Valve springs, OMNI Flat top valves, Type R cams, Full PnP, Hardend & pinned LS rods and 81.5 Spoon polished CTR pistons knife edged and balance LS crank, Sk2 Mani, GSR TB(upgrading soon), DC 421 shitty header, rc 310cc injectors, SARD fpr, stock fuel pump, i plan on putting in a Walbro pump this winter aswell

i need a bigger header i can feel it in the top end, im building a 1.9 LS lower end this winter funds permiting i just got my first house.

i think 96 mph all motor on a LS trans is pertty damn good lol i was spinning all of first, i think if i would have connected i could have hit lower 14s my fastest trap speed was 98 mph

230 is a not an easy feat to achieve, esp with a 1.9 liter setup.
I think it may be in your best interest to do some research and realize what it takes to make that much power.
98 mph should be a low 14 second pass. The trap tells the power level not the ET!
