Default Painting intercooler

Planing to paint the intercooler black (stealth). What technique did you guys use? What kind of paint? Any other information regarding the topic would be great as well. Thank you.

I used high temp flat black that is used for wood stoves and their pipes. Doesn't have to be high temp. I'd think that thicker paints (like some enamel) might not be best.

I know you can anodize an IC... but whats involved in this procedure? is it costly? From what I hear it's the best route to take.

no matter how much paint you apply, you will not effect the the cooling properties of the intercooler...

Krylon is what I used.

Light coats of regualr spray paint, although it does chip off after a while. Just reapply another coat as needed.

PS - Anodizing will cost you ~$100.
