wow that is a nice site, so I have a H1C turbo with the 18.5cm2 exhaust housing. I am going for 400-450whp on 93 octane on a built LS/Vtec... It will be a street car so I would like a fairly quick spool, I think .63 A/R would be my best bet, what housing would bring me as close as possible to that? Also does anyone know the compressor specs on my H1C?

I'm thinking the HY would be capable of meeting your horsepower goals without sacraficing spool. . . I'm pretty sure it is capable of 400-450 whp. . . I thought it flowed somewhere in that range anyhow.

It would spool pretty quickly with the 9cm^2 housing.

If it's not enough - the 12cm^2 housing will most def. be sufficient.

secret not much of a secret i have the link for there too...notice i mention 155 housings...heh thats the site...thanks for saving me sometime from posting it tho!

and to n20civic
on gsrs people are putting down mid 300's on 10psi...w/ the hx35 12cm housing...id keep the cold side of the h1c and get a smaller housing...trust me youll like 4grand full boost 7+psi...its a nice feel

and for your info...the h1c compressor is a lil less efficent to the hx35...but they are close

well im at work on light duty with a broken ankle, but i will contribute a part # that i said i would, cummins part # 3683144 is the vband that will fit the 3" vband housings. its also pretty cheap. regular selling price is $20.34. any cummins dealer should be able to get it.

Is that for the clamp only or for the clamp and the downpipe side of the v-band as well? In any case, thanks!

Stan (flamenco-t) at fast-turbo was able to get me a v-band clamp and flange to fit my HX35. I think it was actually a touch less then 3 inch.

its about...1/8" smaller...but the clamp compensates...

on the topic does anyone have a discharge vband coupling and pipe...i keep roasting my cheap homedepot 2" coupling...i got it around the charge outlet which is about 2.5" and then down to my charge piping which is 2.5od piping...

i need the pipe co i can cut and weld on my current piping so the heat from the snail wont eat my coupling...doing some more tuning...uber is back up and running...but still cant get the dam lambda log to log the correct values...its off but everything else is nice

after some 2nd gear pulls that scary the **** out of me...i think im gonna have a

3 months?! I'm approaching a year. . .

Hopefully it'll be worth it.

Went from a junkyard t25g on log mani - afc/450's (made 12.81 pass @107)

This year the hx35 on a eq length mani, and fully built top and bottom end.

Crower 403's up top in the JG Pro head, benson down below stuffed w/ 83mm cp's on manley rods. Tuning via hondata.

I'm poor. . . tired of eating ramen, and want to boost so bad that I would eat the corn out of everyone on HT's diarrhea if it would grant me the last $3k I need to finish this thing.

This **** gets expensive. . .

i deh here the expensive side of the game...

started as a n/a ls/vtec
became gsr-turbo plans
switched to ls/vtec turbo plans
planned drag mani & super 60 turbo
went eq length...hx35..
cant say i regret it...put me in the hole pretty good too...but well worth it imho...

3 months of everyday pretty much workin on it...and some overnight 24hr workathons....its taken me 3 years to collect and gather parts to my liking...when i decided it was going ot be built..i took no shortcuts...ive though out pretty much everything...

btw screw hondata...run uberdata and save the coin and get a wbo2 and tune it yourself

congratulations, we were engaged for about 8 mos before hand.(she cares nothing for how fast cars are, but she lets me work on them)

cool, i love letting v8 guys ride that think all imports are supposed to be horribly slow.

cant wait to boost, i was looking at my hx35 and my crfab mani yesterday when i got home from the hospital. ahhhh. cant wait. i had to get my cousing to take me to get a pizza just so i could feel vtec.(hadnt ridden in anything other than a cherokee since i broke my ankle, and my wife wont rip on it)

as soon as ican work on it i of course will give updates

man you could be over here in like two days. haha.

since you are one of the few who actually are using this turbo instead of talking about it(myself included)you gotta give us some vids or something.

or at least some kill stories.

or you could give us like every detail during a pull, like when do you get traction, when you see full boost in each gear

im jealous

i did drive my f150 today, but it sucks, even with v8 torque.had to drive left footed(my right ankle is broke)

has anyone ran the hy35 yet, i want to run one on my built d16 vtec and am aiming for around 300whp-350whp, and want full boost around 3200-3500. What kind of boost would i have to run to make around 300whp and what rpm would i be looking at for fulkl boost? Also would an hx-35 be too big?

you wont hit full boost anywhere near 3200-3500... esp enough boost to make 350 on a d-series

Well, all of my 4" downpipe stuff came in, and things are looking up. Everything is fitting great, I just need to "shave" down my weld on 4" vband adapter and it'll fit my hy35 just perfect. I'm off all weekend, so I'm going to see if the guy thats making my downpipe will fab it up for me this weekend. After that, its just a matter of getting one fitting, and my charge pipes made, and i'll be set to bolt it on and see what she can do!!

Yea, that would have been nice, since its been like $160 for just my 4" stuff so far, and I don't even want 4" Oh well, it'll look cool...haha. I'll be sure to post lots of pix once I get it done. I'm still hoping :fingers crossed: that I can get it all welded up this weekend.
