<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by wantboost &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">you have two problems here...

a) 2.5" dp and 2.25" exhaust. if these were largened up to say 3" you would see full boost around 5k or so.
b)your wastegate is missing the fire ring that seal it against the flange. find one of these and watch your spool time magically decrease as well</TD></TR></TABLE>

just hours before I saw your post I figured out the wastegate problem. I had the ring upside down. Now I'm getting 10psi and its spooling sooner.
I'm gonna try wide open dp to see how much of a difference that would make; then I may go to 3" from the turbo back.

Hurry up man, I need to figure out what turbo im going to run and when you said full boost by 7k I got worried. I want to see what it will do with less restriction in the system. How many lbs are you running?

wow thats still a lil slow for a b16 esp w. the 9cm housing....def get rid of that screen and youll see some power gains....its causing a hinder on the intake side of the turbo...and i personally would upgarde to a 3" dp...w/ a ecutout....or run 3" all the way from the turbo back...youll make your powerband so much wider and will utimately eb a lot happier....

also take the screen off of your turbo inlet, they are more restrictive than a true air filter

Can someone tell me what the differences between the hx35 and the hx35g (cng version) are? Other than being watercooled, supposedly the cng version has a different compressor and a turbine, for a little more flow. Is anyone familiar with this?

well i have an update, i drove the ls tonight, and damn i liked it. we thought he spun a bearing, but pulled the valve cover and and adjuster came loose. dont know why, he has never had the cover off, but we were happy it was just that. he went to the track friday night, lights messed up and said he ran like a 3.2 in the 1/8, but he trapped 86.6mph.only got to make one pass. ill let you guys know when he gets a real time. also he is running alittle over 10psi.

and i ordered the parts for my trans.

as soon as it is fixed im back on the turbo project.

well where are you at in your build?

after i get my trans back together, im going to jump back on the boost project. main thing i need is ic piping, and i think i sold my rc 550's to my friend with the ls, so i guess i need some injectors.

So what's the issue w/ the stock wastegate on the hy35? Someone was saying, I'd have to buy a wasteagate. Is it just not wise to run the stock wg? or what? I doubt I'd be be able to spool it much past 10-12psi on my little ol b18.

i spike to 10psi w/ an open dp...at 4k....it will go about that....ive seen spikes to 14 on a rainy day when I lost traction....close the internal gate...ive stated how tod o so numerous times in the thread....and run an external wg....its just that simple
