Default B series taxtime swap ?'s

Well soo many people are telling me to sell my D and swap to B series. I came to the conclusion that I am. Its getting swapped to Ls/vtec. I wanna see my results with just building first and then possibly turbo. I wanna know how would I go about swapping Mounts, axles, engine harness, dash harness, ecu, shift linkage and all depending on what year engine what would be the best OBD1 or OBD2. This would be my first true build beside bolt ons.

Where to buy? Best bang for my buck
Best compression build for turbo?
b18b1 block/ Gsr head. I was going to buy a non running b18b1 and start with that.
I have a total of 4000$ by Feb 10

Let me know your guys opinions. I need alot of help. Thx

i will spoon feed you the idea. you're on your own after that.

hmotorsonline for the engine.
use a b16/18 head not a GSR
you could try 15:1. j/k. 10:1 and down. 10 being much harder to do because it has to be precise in all areas. but you'll get more power at less PSI and still have power before the turbo spools.

it'll be an awesome setup. provided this isn't the same old pipe dream im assuming it is.

H2B next time.

Go to hmotorsonline buy a full swap. Get your *** researching on wiring and tuning!!! Ask around in your town. Don't buy crap till ALL your plans are set in stone and everything is picked out.

Ls/vtec's are notorious for snapping rods and messed up internals due to a bad r/s combined with high revs. Go with a straight gsr or a b16a2. It will last you longer and run smoother.

the owners of said broken LS/Vtecs are infamous for cheaping out on parts not using ARP bolts and if its not ebay its not worth it.
- the real cause of busted B20/vtecs.

4k on a motor? unless youre gonna get a b18c5(overpriced) or k20 thats waaaaay more then you need.

I'm doing everything the expensive way, and my H2B swap using an ITR transmission, Exedy Stage 1 Clutch, Fidanza Flywheel, LogicMotorsports header, custom exhaust, Axles, 70mm TB, and the cost of Labor at Mainstream Performance is all around ~$5,000.

Again, that's for good parts, no half-assed anything, PLUS labor to pay a shop to put it in.

~210-230whp depending on the health of the engine and tune on a totally stock block/head.
