I took my 4 door integra there last year to get it painted. I removed all of the trim and everything that I didn't want any over-spray on, including my wheels. I would advise you to do any of the body work/prep work yourself, that is if you have any experience. I paid them extra to do the body work (block the car) and they did not. The car came out wavy on the doors, there was still ripples on the hood and the biggest problem (realized a year later) they never primered the front bumper ( i don't believe they primered the rear either) and a huge chunk of paint flaked off of the front bumper when i was at the car wash . Of course I complained and brought the car back and they didn't seem suprized. They cut corners (more than any other body shop i know of) and that is how they cut down expenses to make ( and save) money at the expense of the paint jobs quality. I wasn't expecting a show car but I sure thought it would come out better than I could do in my driveway! These are franchises, so all shops vary. I think they can all lay paint down pretty darn good, just make sure they primer it or you take care of any issues underneath! good luck!

i worked at my local maaco for a year, and everycar (from $300 job to $1100 job) all we did was use a red scotchbrite to stuff up the paint and shoot it. the $300 job didn't get a sealer either.

our maaco used some cheap-*** junk paint, the Western line by sherwin williams.

you're probably better off doing it yourself or paying someone at a local CC thats in a paint program

after going thru school for auto painting it makes it so obvious that every step in the process at maaco is terrible, and against all standards of quality

Don't do it. Macco is cheap quality paint and cheap service. Same goes with Earl Scheib. The paint quality will last you for 3 months then will start to fade. They sand a few parts of the paint where its faded mostly then add 1 layer of paint and clearcoat. For $600-$700, don't even waste your money. If your looking for a great paint job that last. Find a high reputation shop that knows what they're doing. I've have repainted my car for a great deal and has done by a high reputated shop. Great paint jobs will cost you at least $2000-$4000 depends if you want to paint your engine bay or not. Dings and dents will be included, if your vehicle is badly damage or not. So Expensive Cost + High Reputation Shop = Great Quality Work.

"Whoa, that's crazy looks like someone else who owns a mazda mx6 took it to maaco and got it painted blue....huh damn looks like they have the same body kit as me.....wait a second.... WHAT THE F**K!?"
