i know about the famous maaco paint jobs but i had a question. the paint on my car is supposed to be midknight black, but it looks more blue than black. i don't know exactly why....but it just does. my question is....is that if i were to get a maaco paint job that was the exact same color as my original paint, would it still be fuxed up in the future? should i just invest and get a high quality paint job?

 

If your referring to your accord, the color is called Nighthawk Black Pearl, very common color. It's black tint w/ blue pearl tint mixed in, so the color is not "fucked up" unless it's been refinished incorrectly. Macco is a waste of time and money imo, you would be better off finding someone thats reputable and experienced to do it on the side. Your car probably just need a good ext. detail if its not fucked up.

A focused close up shot in direct sun and complete shade would be real good. Whats the paint code in the door jam. Check all the jams for tape lines and or other signes of a refinish/ re-paint/ repair.

They did my dads Probe GT.. not a bad job at all but im thinking im gonna have a local painter do mine, save me some headache or problems
