you need: oil lines and fittings like u said, dowels, ls headgasket, vtec oil pump, water pump, tensioner and spring(good to replace anyways.), vtec timing belt, and also itr head bolts. i just buy itr parts since it has the same head and deck height. thats really the only vtec motor that you can use almost anything off of. im pretty sure you can use gsr pumps and belt too, but when you are there buying parts it is easier if you can get everything from the same car. less searching for parts numbers.

If you're running OEM cams, then get an ITR water pump and timing belt.

no b16 is shorter. stick to itr ****. b18c1/gsr will work too but as i said b4 its easier to just specify 1 car and keep usin it for everything. i normally say 97 itr.

i hope he's being sarcastic.

ive researched and found that you need a gsr waterpump/timing belt. they go together. ls pump/ls belt

but the gsr/itr works better at high rpms.
i plan on building an ls/vtec and this is the conclusion that ive come to about pumps and belts

Uh, it doesn't? What if he's running Toda B's or C's, should you run a stock timing belt on those cams? Hence why I said, OEM cams.

no. i have never heard of 1 belt breaking from upgraded cams. the only reasons people upgrade timing belts is either for bling factor or because they have insane hp....no na car should need an aftermarket tmiing belt ever unless it has a deckplate since it would need a custom size.

Toda cams are notorious for shredding OEM timing belts.

what the **** are you talking about? you are a ****** idiot. i agree with tinkerbell, the creator would be better off researching himself rather than reading this bullshit. i also find it funny that you guys are saying use the timing belt from the same engine as the oil pump when the oil pump gear is removable, keep the oil pump gear, waterpump, and timing belt the same. once again, patch wtf are you talking about. lets see some links to stories of toda cams snapping timing belts.
