Function and Form coilover thread
Who has had these for a couple years? are they leaking after a year? whats the warranty? are they holding up?
Im looking to SLIGHTLY tuck tires on a DA integra, and Ive read the front coilover for DA application wont go low enough to even sit the tire even with the fender? let alone tuck at all without using the OEM top hat?
I need a decent ride, and I drive it fairly hard living in the mountains. Very spirited driving is almost a daily situation.

The warranty is 1 year, anything wrong and they'll replace it for you. You can also buy the extended warranty once it expires if you wish, more info on their website if you'd like to read more.
My friend has Type 2s on a DA (Type 1 or 2 lower the same) and hes almost tucking tire at full height so I can't imagine if he was on the lowest setting, would prob tuck rim haha. I know I was too on my EG, maxed height and I had maybe 2 inches of gap only and now with little to no wheel gap I still have another 3 inches to go lower if I wish.
They're decent coilovers for the money which is what they're supposed to be. For the price is a nice basic setup and yes it does make the handling much better. My car feels rather responsive on corners and the ride is little harsh but thats because my car is 20 years old and the bushings need to be replaced. Im sure they would ride pretty smooth if the bushings were new. Hope that helps..
same here. im going on a year and half. no issues what so ever. and theyre on the wifeys car. if she dont complain then they must be good right?
its now been 3.5 years with my type 1s and just hit 40,000 miles on them and still holding up great. ended up pulling my motor to replace it with the one ive been building and thought i would pull all of my coilovers and look them over. pulled all boots up to check on leaking with nothing to be found and still in great shape.
i plan on upgrading at some point and plan on prob getting type twos. i would recommend these to anyone. as long as you don't adjust the height using the spring they should last you for a long time

Does anyone have a picture of a DA integra with type1s lowered only with the lower mounts? not the spring? Im wondering if theyre as low as what im shooting for.
I dont mean to sound like a such a newb, im not, hardly, but I AM a newb to this suspension brand. So im clueless here. I refuse to buy blind. So far im impressed with the reliability im reading about from a $600 full body coilover. Now I just need to see what my height adjustments are going to look like without lowering the spring seat, and only adjusting the lower portion of the coilover body.
^ Its somewhere along the lines of the fenders and just the body being so short on them that even though your height might be set to the lowest, you will be barely/almost tucking tire. They still go just as low as the other model cars and you'll be really low but it just won't look like you are because people judge how high a car is based on its fender to wheel gap.
Buy some ebay coilovers and some EF hatch shocks and slam it. Might as well go cheap if you are going to lower it so much that you basically don't have suspension anyways.
my sisters car on stock shocks, ebay coilovers and extended top hats. rides like it was never lowered. tucking 40 series a bit on 16's.
my wagon here has the body sleeve turned all the way down with the rears a bit more to go.

my sedan is all the way down

These coils aren't designed to be slammed. No coilover is that I know of anyway. You need something custom to do it right or something you are willing to destroy
