I read a little paper that comes with F&Fs and it says you can upgrade to 2.5 if you have any second generation coilover. Meaning the ones we use, 1s or 2s.

Its about a $300 diff from Type1 to Type 2 and about $200 from the Type 2 to Type 3 I believe.

They're pretty good coilovers for what they are. Type 1 and Type 2 lower the same amount. I rode semi slammed for a while and for the most part it rode just like at a higher height. The spring isn't being compressed more to lower so the the ride is theoretically the same. Lower center of gravity will affect the ride of course but IMO when I was this low it wasn't much different than a few inches up. It rides good, if the upper control arms are not hitting the shock tower then theres not much of a lower ride quality. When you're hitting potholes and having the upper control arms bottom out then yeah it will be rough of course like ANY coilover. I drove like this and had no issues expect when I drove on this certain highway that had these outrageous bumps and I would bottom out the UCAs.

I think these are good for slamming because you can go really low and the suspension has enough stroke room, if they were softer you would bottom out the chassis... So yeah theyre just stiff enough not to have issues. Both will do the same, the 2s are a little stiffer so they might be a better option if you plan on maxing them out. Plus they have dampening so that might help your ride be a little more suited for you.

Thank you for the feedback that was very helpful, I think I'll stick with the type 1's and save some money for other stuff. Now time to go on weaksauce and order them for 600 shipped . Unless you guys know any better deals let me know.

I have the type1 and it rides kinda bouncy????? I'm pretty slammed, it rides good on normal road with little to no bumps but once you hit a decent bump it likes to bounce up high enough where the uca hits the shock tower.

When I received mine, it looks like everything was assembled except the bottom perch , the perch when you tighten after adusting the height.

The center nut of all the shock and upper collars holding the spring , I didnt mess with them, so my question is am I'm suppose to tighten them some more?

Pictures would help. It shouldnt be bouncy. Especially not bounce and hit the UCA. You dont hit the UCA on a bounce. Bounce means it compresses and decompresses multiple times....
