I ordered my Type 1's on Friday last week.. can't wait!!! :D

I just have one question.. is it necessary to install new lca's as well or will the stock ones be fine? I plan on raising my car every winter and lowering it in the summer.. I was just wondering if that frequent fiddling with the bolts, etc. would have any effect on the lca's or bushings..

You want to go lower? I don't understand. It looks like you can barely drive now lol

But it looks like you have 16's and he has 15's. That makes it look different also.

Yeah I want to tuck as much tire as possible lol. I drive it just fine, I drove from Monterey Bay and back with no problems. Just a lot of rubbing, but who am I to complain? Well here is my friend on type II's. His tire size is 205/40/16, mine are 205/45/16. Will that make a big enough difference?

And here is a bonus pic of his S2K on type II's after he sold the DB8.

Thanks man, it just bugs me that my type I's were lower than my type II's. I can tell because I don't scrape as much as I used to, but oh well. I'm not a big fan of 15's anymore, they just look too small on an Integra.

Ou don't scrape because they are stiffer lol. 10k in the front and 6k in the back. Type 2s are 12k and 8k.....

I installed some Type 1's on this kids EG. We convinced him to get FnF's instead of sleeves so he did.

hey guys, i need this question to be answered before 830 tomorrow morning. since adjusting ride is by turning the lower perch. do i have to completely remove the rear LCA from the shock body since the forks cannot spin while intact to the LCA?

i really just want a plug and ride installation process.

if anyone can help. i'd like to also know how many inches/cm of thread is left on the sleeves at your ride height. i dont want to tuck tire but have no gap between fender and tire.

oh yeah. i got the type-1 for EG but its going on my 97 rs integra.

u adjust height like the instructions that came with the coilovers.

(while installed) lock the upper two perches together (the ones directly under the spring), loosen the smaller locking collar, use your hand or the provided large wrench to turn the entire coil up or down in the shock body. Tighten the smaller locking collar at your desired height.

wtf. isn't that messing with the pre-load? well never mind... im just going to set it at the highest height and install them. then i'll drop the car back on the ground, look at it, jack it back up, detach the LCAs from the shock body and spin the lower mount. that is the only real way i see adjusting ride height without spinning the shock body up and down inside the coil/spring.

oh yeah. i about to drop off the car at my uncle's shop in 15min and he is old, asian, and not a tuner. so i'll be right beside him the whole time. fyi, he is installing a new tranny, exedy clutch, act prolite flywheel, and my F2 type-ones.

Honestly dude its easier to spin your perchs to where they'll set yours car as low as it'll set an than adj that way cause your car will set even all way around an be easier to judge atleast imo I think. That's how we installed mine an such
