Picked up a set of these for my beater wagon. All the way down and even ditched the lower jam nuts.

Nowhere near low enough.

Just the usual crap about being too hard to go over speedbumps and stuff. I'm like "so what?" that's the price of being slammed fools!

Is there a difference between the type 1's for 92-95 and 96-00 for civics? Spring rates, brackets gaps, etc? I'm guessing spring rates for the eg's are stiffer than for the ek's? I'm looking to buy one for my ek hatch that came off an 92 si, and want to make sure they fit/are applicable.

thanks!

Wagons dont drop as much as the other cars from what I hear. These go low man, if you would of done your research you would of known. Deal with it, its still going to be low...

Spring rates are the same. 10k 6k for EG, EK, EF, DC2, DC2 Type R and DA.

I think they might fit with some modification, this has been covered many times so Im sure the info is out there. I think all you need is EG LCAs though but dont take my word for it.

Sucks, not sure how that happened. Did this happen under normal use or was it the result of hitting a huge pothole or something of the sort?

You can upgrade Type2 springs to Swift but not Type 1s, this is what I read somewhere, Im not sure how that would work though, they both look the same size but I would just stick with the regular springs they come with.

I love my type 1s, I have no issues with them. They can be a bit harsh in REALLY bad roads but thats the same with any coilover with spring rates like these. 10K is pretty high for garbage *** roads like the one I was in last week. It was so bad, even in the nicest car you would still feel it a lot Im sure. Other than those roads they ride damn good.

^^ you have to swap the bushings out between LCA's if you want to use EG/DC coilovers on an EK

i dont know if its my crappy *** dx seats or im starting to get old or the rebound on my shocks is getting ugly. an a 40 min drive my back literally started hurting because the freeway bumps felt really harsh now. whenever i hit a bump the car only bounces one time (as opposed to the ricer 5x10^6 bounces) but the bounce is a long deep and high bounce. i dont remember it being that bad before.
just a thought.

my front right ff type 1 coil has developed a weird noise...only when i go over fast little bumps...sounds like its bottoming out...took the coil apart and it seemed fine didnt see anything loose, and its def coming from the coil, i lifted up my car and put pressure on the front right tire up and down and you can hear it faintly...weird

other than that drives fine, anybody else have this problem? and what sucks is that the road to get to my house is REALLY ****ed, and its been like that for a while...maybe i ****ed up my coil who knows

so when installing, you are not suppose to mess with the preload? cant you just set it back to stock, which is 5mm iirc?
