just confirming, but how do you adjust the height? there's 3 collars total, 2 right under the spring, and one by itself. thnx.

Correct. The first 2 collars/perches are together and they lock against each other to hold the spring in place. That is the preload. Don't mess with it as it's already set correctly. When you install them. Use the wrenches that come with it and tighten those 2 together a little better. I used a flathead an hammered it to tighten as I heard the wrenches don't fit good.

The height itself is adjusted from the bottom perch. That one you twist and them twist the lower body so that it sits right under the perch thus locking them.

This is my friends lowered with Type IIs.

Front is less higher than the rear until new tires are in.

I have Type I. I love them. No Major complaints except I wish I had adjustability. So one day I will go and buy the 2.5's 12k 10k

if i understand this correctly, so you twist the whole shock body? then lock it with the bottom perch, is it the same process for the rear? since the whole shock body attaches to the lca

Yeah but idk about the back. I have not adjusted my height yet but I think you have to take the lca bolt out and the pull the F2 out and then twist it

Uh no? on you.

By adjusting the 2 top collars you are changing the preload. You are supposed to adjust height by the bottom collar. When you adjust the preload, the way your suspension handles is no longer the same. You will loose suspension travel.

I'm going to try to do the rear by just taking off the bolts from the top and pushing down on the rotor until the suspension pops out from the chassis and adjust it from there.

Just installed Type 2's on my DD. They ride much better than I has expected. The dampening is set to full stiff and it still rides really nice. The Omni's on my Civic are extremely harsh in comparison.

For the people that want the 2.5's.... why not just buy some Eibach ERS springs on your own? Same with the Type-1; you could upgrade to Eibach ERS springs with no problem at all.

ure a complete moronnnnn haha
by twisting both upper collars together at the same time they will move the whole shock around and no preload will be lost. the collars will never move from were they originally were in the threaded body. if they do move then put them back were they were and tighten them to eachother more until the whole shock moves with the rings simultaniously.
jump off a bridge my friend. READ THE ****ING INSTRUCTIONS FORE WHEN THE COILOVER IS IN THE CAR!
they come in the box IM DISSAPOINTED SON

No, not when they are tightened together. When they are together and the lower gold collar is loose, you can rotate the entire unit to raise and lower it by turning the two locked collars as one with the included wrench. Read the instructions again. If the two top collars are NOT locked together and you screw them down on the threads THEN you are adjusting the preload.
