No, not when they are tightened together. When they are together and the lower gold collar is loose, you can rotate the entire unit to raise and lower it by turning the two locked collars as one with the included wrench. Read the instructions again. If the two top collars are NOT locked together and you screw them down on the threads THEN you are adjusting the preload.
Right. I have to remove the top nuts first right?

No, they are fully adjustable while mounted in the car. The car just needs to be jacked up so the weight isn't on them.

You cannot upgrade Type 1s with Eibach springs. Only Type 2s.

I had to raise it up a tad more. That was all the way down in the front and rear. The fronts are very close to the same but I was having issues with rubbing in the rear so I raised those up some. Still tucking tire but just not as much. That, plus the face I couldn't get out of my driveway without scrapping frame rail.

I was basically sitting on the ground. The mudflaps had started grinding themselves down because they were dragging just driving on a flat road. They havent even settled yet either. Main reason I had to raise them:

I was scrapping frame rail getting in and out of my driveway.

Why not?

Just take the physical dimensions of the springs provided and order Eibach ERS replacements with comparable spring rates.

I didn't get instructions with mine. The box included:
• 2 front and 2 rear coilovers
• 1 large wrench
• 1 small wrench (which doesn't fit the small lock collar)
• 1 tape measure
• 9 nylock style nuts (1 less than I needed)
• 2 stickers with smeared graphics that were printed by a consumer grade ink jet printer
• 0 instructions

Been riding my Type 1's for a couple days and WOW the ride is fantastic. There is a hard pop on rare bumps in the road that's coming from the front left but I haven't looked up info on if ek's have bump stops or not...anywho, great coilovers for the buck. Just don't take them on the track from what I understand. Daily driver **** only.

Sorry for the night time shots, it was late when we got done

Have fun and ride safe F&F guys

Thanks man, everyone at my store is being a hater lol
No, I did not mess with the preload BUT the front driverside is too low so imagine it half an inch higher and then it'll be right.
