New vid from yesterday. Attended a time attack. We get split into groups of guys that are around your timed laps. The group you see in the vid are actually of my buddies and I.
My little zc beat out the prelude and fa5. I was around 3 seconds slower the the integra(type r drivetrain)

Most of the EF's looked ok on the outside, then the engine bays looked like daily driven beaters. I like my swap, but my engine bay's paint looks like **** no matter how much I clean it. I wont pop my hood at a show unless someone just wants to see it. It's "tucked" and all, but just not pretty. Can't wait to be able to get it painted.

QFT, for me EFs is more a personal thing, i dont wanna talk to a kid younger than my crx about his shitty ls powered ek.

In other news I need an oil pan, scared to get a moroso, half the people on HT with them leak, but on the other hand 90% of people on HT are retarded. Anyone have any personal experiences?

Have a moroso but yet to put on... I got the one made for "road racing" Im pretty sure there is a drag pan as well.... Pretty sure its just where the baffles are put in. Pretty sure I went through summit too... great shipping. Keeping my stock gsr pan just in case though...

Not sure what oil yall are running.. I used to stick with mobil1. Always hear a lot about royal purple though.. not sure if this is a real deal.. but says almost 40-50$ off... the 5w30 is cheaper once you get to Amazon.

I was told by the guys at Crower Cams to stay away from synthetic oil. Especially Mobil1. It tends to break down quickly and not provide much protection. Told me to stick to regular pennzoil or other equivalent.

This is only true for some of the dudes I know. And those dudes are usually total ******. No offense to you Vega...in fact, I should shut up because I've been married, but never had kids. I wouldn't know what's like to pile on that responsibility. But like Chemist, my ex wife was spreadin' her love all over Stanford before I found out.

I used to burn soooo much Mobil 1 on track. I switched to Royal Purple 20/50 and it's been great. Also run a catch can too.

What about the Fastline weld in plates for your stock pan? I run this on track and they're great.

Screw IA, we need some Niagara17 coverage!

As for Moroso oil pans....I used to have the aluminum one on my d16a6. Ask fourthgenbatchb17 how much work we had to do to that thing to keep it from leaking...and it still never fully sealed...blah. I switched to the Moroso steel oil pan and have had no issues.

never heard that. In fact on the Subaru boards thats all they tell us to use. That's what I put in my car and just did a oil change on the civic and used the same. I haven't had issues.

Yeah it's usually after kids. But she complains about my WRX too sometimes saying she can feel every bump we go over unlike her unmodded car.

She even had the nerve to say my newborn son doesn't like how my car rides either.
I told her he's sleeping isn't he, you should too.

I stopped running synthetic once I left Honda.. once I had to pay for it! car burns less and runs no different. Have not decided on what to run in my Queen. probably stick with the purple.

Nick are you running the synthetic? (xpr) or just the regular stuff? 20w50 too huh? thanks for the advice.
Gonna have to use redzc's advice with the RTV on the pan... well see how it works. gonna look into the weld in baffles too.
