Quick question:

Is the taillight harness with the bulb sockets etc. for 88-91 Civic 3dr and 88-91 CRX the same?

Well I shouldn't say it's being shaved... I would say more semi-shaved....
they are basically filling in the holes grinding down the seams and adding steel reinforcement compound that they say will never crack unlike even the best seam sealers or filler.

They are my sponsor so i'm not worried about it cracking even when I track the car on courses. I'm sure they know what they are doing and wouldn't do something if they knew they had to fix it down the road.

I just wanted pictures of semi-shaved bays/firewall so i could show them as a referrance point.

doug, the full race traction bar uses heim joints on both ends of the radius rod as well. imo works better than the innovative design because caster can be more easily adjusted (if needed) rather than having to unbolt the radius rod to adjust it. idk of any other benefits.

Not a bad idea, but I'd be worried about the suspension compressing and the heim not having enough motion. They should have put misalignment spacers to give it more range of motion.

I bought 5/8" for my custom traction bar I'm making. I ended up buying 1/2" reducing misalignment spacers because the bolt was HUGE. Measure the hole on the kits joints that connect to the radius rod.(cut out that you have 2 pair of) That will give you the size that they basically cut it for. Doesn't look like it's 5/8" though.

USDM vs. JDM

Hey guys. Quick questions regarding the ED and the EF plastic inner fender/bumper liners.

-Are the US spec and J spec the same or different?

the hole is 1/2", i just have a feeling 1/2" rod ends are too small. they make a 5/8" with a 1/2" bore but the bigger bolt feels better to me

with me converting to a 1/2" it actually puts a bolt in there that is a 19mm, remember the stock suspension bolts down there are 17mm. Rated at 10.9 grade, it's plenty strong for what it's gonna be used for.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/new-ef-innovative-traction-bar-review-2232301/

found that....explains why not to use a double heim joint. 1st and second page. and further on why to use a double heim and back and forth...idk

are you using cromemoly heims? and the weirtech kit was $75 damn canadian shipping.

All I see is a bunch of unqualified engineers in there.... Glad I'm studying to be a mechanical engineer Yes I am using Chromoly heims. I didn't buy a kit, I started off on my own with spare metal scrap which was going to be recycled anyway. I put it to good use.

The key is to have a fan shroud. Brand of radiator isn't a big factor really. If you're using a slim fan without a shroud, then it will likely run too hot. Mine does...I need to find a good fan shroud for my slim fans.
