QUESTION:

This is for all you guys who have a upgraded swap B, H, K but mostly B and H

And you turbo guys don't answer cause I know you guys probably require it

Did you guys upgrade your fuel pump?
Is it required to upgrade your fuel pump?
Has anyone had any issue with not upgrading it?

I really don't think this is required. I've known a lot of guys who have upgraded to b-series and k-series who do not upgrade the fuel pump. Because I have an Hf model, I bought a walbro 190lph as a precaution. A 255lph is simply overkill.

I'm going through with it this time. I'm just trying to get the thing started. A guy @ my job is looking into buying it so I'll atleast still be able to see it.

I believe the stock injectors and ecu that goes with the engine will work just fine since they’re all use the same size injectors (at least from what I read about B series anyway). I’m sure the ecu will make sure the engine is getting enough fuel without it being chipped. When I had my B18a1 in there, I used the stock ecu to run the engine with 0 problems. But when I got my B16b put in, I got a p28 chipped on chrome just to run the engine.

Hey all you Cali guys, do you know when Eibach is? Is it worth the trip out? A couple friends and I are thinking about going this year.

You don't need to upgrade the fuel pump on a bseries swap. Only when the original is starting to go out which has happened to me.

As for chipped ecus. The only thing they do is hold the injector open a few milliseconds longer so that more fuel comes in. You don't need an aftermarket fuel pump when chipped.

i did it when i was 17 and i almost started crying. I was laying under the car in the freezing cold and it was SUCH a pain. I have more patience today, but If the fuel pump went out in my DA i'd probably sell it before climbing under there to do it again.

Now that i'm thinkin about this, there's a Self Service Auto Repair place down the street from my house i've been meaning to check out.
