Quiet in here...
Bolted up most of the rear suspension today, Need some longer bolts for the LCA/Tie Bar hole..
I really need to order some brake lines. Fastbrakes only has rears on their site? ill have to call monday. I know Nick said he had a bad experience with Inline4.. but there lines look nice. I wish Rywire had some custom brake lines like the ones for the relocate kits... not sure why everyone has brake relocation kits.. but they dont make any OEM style lines.
I'm opposed to tucking the brake system, but some better lines are always nice.
( Earls or Goodridge are probably the best bang for the buck though and Ive had both with no problems.)
I also need to make or just order a clutch line since I went Hydro.
and Fuel lines now that I have come up with a good route to run it all cleanly.. I have ZERO experience making my own AN lines though, any pointers?

Ive seen Russel lines.. but have not seen them for sale anywhere.
Wow... talk about a great starting point. I would jump all over that. Looks like its missing the drivers door. Bring it home BLU!?

Hmm... under 12,000 miles. clean, fair price... but the hassle of getting it home that way and with a wallet leftover.. I would have to opt for the gutted green too, either way the car would get torn down, half the work is done!
Rob. -You have any idea who lists your car on CL all the time?!

Got my car up and running, Put on G2 Teg rear disc brakes, 4040 prop valve and a new master cylinder since mine took a crap, new russel brake lines. Car brakes great, however I had to hit the brakes pretty hard the other day when a red light snuck up on me, rears locked up and had a nice smell of burning rubber. This normal after a rear disc swap for rears to lock up on hard braking? My old drums didnt do nothing much really, I am so used to driving a car with ABS that I cant really tell if this is normal for a non ABS car anymore under hard braking
Setup
Stock front brakes w slotted rotors
G2 Teg rear disc brakes w slotted rotors
Hawk HPS pads all around
Russel brake lines.
New OEM "DX" master cylinder
4040 prop valve from G2 Teg

track-dudes typically run one-step less-aggressive pads in the rear, as the discs tend to do that. your setup is a pretty standard one, well proven, you might just want to put some stocker-pads in the rear. thats the "normal" fix for that problem. good luck dude!

Thanks buddy! If this locks up on me often I will prob switch out pads as you mentioned
I've always heard that the 4040 prop will cause that since it shifts more bias to the rear. The car has almost no weight back there so it's very easy to lock the rear tires up.
Here is a nice write on detailing cars. specifically black cars.. but Im sure everyone could benefit.
