We did a lease option on a house we were going to buy before the floor fell out. Our lender and broker both went under. I’m kinda happy we didn’t buy it b/c we have become another number in the long list of foreclosures. I’m happy with renting, but the wife isn’t. she still wants a house, so I’m looking for a townhouse in our area…with a garage. That’s all I want is just a good size garage.

Yeah. I’ll be checking to make sure the hoa’s are reasonable…the fees and their requirements.

Vr4 all the way! I love those things, and I hate miatas. I donk know if it's because I know I can't fit into one, or all the dumb stuff that people do to them.

but, i understand what you're saying in that regards. it depends on the situation. for me, it's cheaper to own than to rent. rent by me for this house would be $1200 plus utilities vs $950 for mortgage which includes taxes.
i got our house for a steal also, but, if you actually pay for a house, even a STEAL, for 30 years, and put a few thousand a year into it in upgrades...you'll, in most cases, still break even. the interest is a big number over that time.

i dont intend to pay for my house for 15 years, much less 30. every situation is different, obviously. my 15 year goal is to be completely out of debt (only really have house debt anyways, and a student loan for sara's masters degree, but she is still working on that.)

Buying a home where I live is not happening in my lifetime, even with the market crash.. houses in NY... Long Island specific are outrageous. Taxes here will drive this place into one big NYC eventually. I hope to either venture down south or far west as soon as surgery is over, health is 100% and the car is "finished".... I have realized I am a warm weather person, this snow and cold stuff is just is not for me.

I know were shying away from EF's... but its cool to kinda see the other side to the random names we've all been talking to for a few years.

Which one would you guys buy?
Those Galants are SLEEPERS. If it's in good shape and you're willing to repair it, I say go for it.

As for your bicycle purchase. Sounds good to me. I just spent $180 on a new saddle that retails for $300, so the fact you are buying an entire bicycle for $5 less seems awesome.
It already has a semi-nice saddle too!

It's no Brooks, but for my first 'nice' bike....AWESOME!

60" Frame, Big Bike for my ridiculous legs.

And that's a big point for the VR4....I'm only 6 feet tall, but my legs are stupid long....For example I wear 30x36 pants.

I love both lol. Whatever I get I just want to subtly improve. new wheels, lowered, random nice body pieces

How'd you know it needed work!?

Yeah I'm excited about the bike! Friend of mine is way too tall for it, so he's letting it go cheap!

I just watched a motorweek review on the VR-4 for lulz....0-60 in 6.5 Seconds!!! SO QUICK.

Thanks for the advice guys!

Anyone taking a trip to a junkyard soon please let me know.. Im in search for some crx ( I am pretty sure hatch's and sedans work as well) FRONT Lower Control Arms. Nothing fancy... as long as I can just bolt em' in for a quick move of the car. Trying not to spend too much on them... Just trying to avoid assembling all the powder coated pieces just yet.

Thank you, I may have to wait.. everything on the east coast is rusted up and needs new bushings pressed in. I just need a temporary set to roll my car around on. I found a set on e-bay but 42$+shipping a side seems steep.. should have jumped on a decent set I saw for 45$ shipped.

Probably the only part I don't have a spare of!

Nice! My dad is the person who got me into motorcycles. I can't afford one right now (only 18 and a full time student) but I've always loved his, and I have my license so I could ride his

He's a HUGE H-D guy, off the top of my head he's had:

3 Road Glides
2 or 3 Ultra Classics
1 or 2 Regular Classics
Dyna
2 or 3 V-Rods
Buell Lightning
Buell Ulysses
BMW R1200RT
BMW F800ST
BMW R1200GS
Suzuki Hayabusa
Triumph Speed Triple
Yamaha FZ6

I'm sure there are a bunch more

lol
