Im pretty sure my driving is fine.. I was having a hard time getting it into gear, as if the clutch wasn't fully engaging.. so i tightened the cable and whala! it was fine.. but now its been maybe a month and its back to being a forceful thing to get it into gear at times.

when mine was cable i think i only remember adjusting it whenever i put the motor in or replaced the clutch. wonder if you cable is starting to stretch, or about to snap

My other rex is set-up for no cable. this is just the beater.

I never adjusted it so often on any other EF Ive owned, well I have only adjusted it twice since the first time after putting the motor in but thats still more than normal. Just wondering if maybe someone has some other ideas? something else not grabbing? its a new exedy stage 1 and resurfaced flywheel. oem cable from a DA.
Just want to avoid snapping the cable!

BLU- how would my driving effect the way my car goes into gear anyway? Am I missing something?

Are you running one of those cable to hydro actuators? I have to tighten my clutch cable every so often. This one will eventually snap like the last....but that's why I carry an OEM clutch cable every time I drive the CRX. Haha (I had one snap on me before and did not have one handy!)

No actuator.. just good old cable trans. Its mainly getting into first from a stop thats the problem.. im just gonna try a little tighter, lets hope it doesnt snap. Im not familiar with the works of the inside of the tranny.. could it be a syncro problem internally?

I was referring to how some people stomp their clutch to bang gears causing the cable to stretch prematurely

I hope my cable is okay. I pulled it from that hatch that had 245k miles on it. It may be a tad worn.

Does anyone have knowledge on map sensor compatability? My swap didn't come with one so I'm not sure what I need. Will OEM EF work on the Y8 manifold with the Z6 harness?

I've swapped clutch cables about 4 or 5 times in the 7 years of owning my CRX. I finally tightened a worm clamp around the rubber bushing at the end of the cable. It's due for another breaking any time though. I also have always had to mess with the tension of my cables in this car. Not sure why that is. I thought it was a typical b series swap problem...

All Honda map sensors are the same after 91 I believe. Any can be used as far as I know.

At least im not the only one.. Im pretty sure I have one or two older ones somewhere in my stockpile of parts. Im wondering though, do you experience the same symptoms? randomly it becomes difficult to get into gear, mostly first? I am more concerned I may have a tranny project for the winter than a cable swap!

Never hard to get in gear for me unless the cable is just too loose. Personally, I like my pedal to be kinda high, so I think that attributes to having to adjust it so frequently.

well, its a crossmember. The Innovative one. I really like it, it just hangs too low for me to lower my car as much as I want and drive it.
