The Official EF Discussion Thread
I didn't weld my plate on, however I just finished mine up the other day, and it's aluminum, and I covered it up after with a dynamat like material. Interior noise went down QUITE a bit, and no more hot air coming up and inside the interior.

Sounds like it will be quite a bit more fun to drive. I know my car is fun as ish to take through and whip around turns. Soon I will have to start reading up on rules and sanctions so that I can take it to the track.
No problem on the throttle cable! Thanks for the visors, so much nicer now :D

I will NOT remove the ac in my coupe. I know it would really clean up the bay, but I can't bring myself to do it. I think I would regret it...and so would you.
p.s. Perfect day to detail the girlfriend's G. (EF related 'cause you can see my rex
)

I want a car with ac sooo bad!!! I would re charge it!! Look into tucked ac kits. I know Hybrid-Racing makes a kit.

My JDM D15B arrives Monday so the swap will start next week for the sedan. I've taken a few motors out knowing another one wasn't going in, but this will be my first time putting one back. Power steering is getting trashed so I'm going to swap the manual rack from the DX parts car in there. I'm debating on whether or not I should keep my a/c. It only blows semi-cool air and I really prefer the non-a/c look in the bay. I am also converting to 5 speed. I will probably be in here pretty often asking for advice trouble shooting.
This is okay by me, especially given the trends that are popular right now.

Hell, when the a/c broke in the wagovan 2 months ago...I just bought a new car. haha.
I used to say the same thing. I didn't get a car with a/c until my senior year of college. And I lived in the Mojave Desert with a black truck and a vinyl seat. Then I could afford a daily with a/c...and I'll never go back.

Staefan- Fahk yeah doggy. She's rad. I gotta get my lift put together so I can fit her car in the garage too. We needs to catch up.
A/c is pointless in sf...it's always foggy and freezing here
I actually just turned on the a/c in the evo for the first time at an autox a couple weeks ago...was hot as **** outside. A/c is actually works super well.

I LOVE A/C. The only way my crx will go without a/c again is if it becomes a dedicated track car (which I dont ever see happening because I like to drive it so damn much). My beater has a/c and I abuse the hell outta that stuff. Screw extra mpg. LOL
ever since i bought my S2000 i decided that i will probably never own a car that i drive on the street without a/c ever again. It is very possible to have a car that performs very well and can still be driven when its 103 degrees (like it was today in MD). When i had my CRX i always found myself not taking the car out on weekends because when i left my house at 1:00pm it was hotter then hell. But on the ride home from whatever event or meet or cookout, or party i was attending the sun was down and the weather was glorious. But i was driving my beater because the crx would've been unbearable earlier in the day.
i've been looking for something less expensive to replace the s2000 now, and a/c is my number one priority.

Well because I am not convinced this Celica is going to last I will keep the a/c in the sedan with the swap. If I end up having to daily drive it again I know business casual, 105* heat and no a/c doesn't mix.
