I thought this was neat. I found a stamped piece of paper stapled to the back side of my carpet and a stamp on the ECU that says "April 15, 1991." I don't know how far into the model year they built the cars, but I'm guessing mine must have been one of the last 1991s.

Sort of. The 88 CRX Si was the Import car of the year, not car, which by car I think they mean American. I've searched around alot, and my gf said she was searching all day at work. I've found 93 Rx7 guys replicating theres, and VW guys even saying its a sticker offered by VW themselves. Im going to try and go back to that junkyard Thursday and get real pictures of it. But I was super stoked on that lil sticker.

unfortunately the single piece jdm sedan headlights will not fit without the ENTIRE JDM front. Unlike the second gen teg where they are able to just bolt them on...

ukdm install? I just swapped my guts into my usdm cluster shell and worked fine, except the gas gauge which is constantly off. I need to figure out how to recalibrate it.

hmmm that probably would of made it easier lol. i just had to repin the connectors. wasnt too bad after i started using the circuit board on the back as a map lol. i found a right up on it in the FAQ but all the pin locations he had on there were all wrong...atleast for a 91 hatch not sure about the other models

If you delete a/c do you have to do something to the ducting under the dash? I removed the black box with the coil.

Saw those years ago but didnt bother to inquire about them as I was under the impression that you cant run bigger brakes ie EX, DA, ITR etc with them. Looks like a nice product though. I wonder if the actual knuckle is shorter in height or they just moved the hub upwards.

You can get the deletion duct which came on models not equipped with A/C. Or do like I did, remove the coil and seal the box. Airflow is not as good as with an actual duct but it suits my purpose just fine.

I thought about gutting the box and reinstalling it, but I want to sell the whole system. I've got a lead on the duct I need, which is good.

Here's another comparison with a more similar angle.

I still need to drop the auto shifter, install the manual pedals, drop the power steering subframe and rack, rebuild and reinstall manual rack and subframe, clean the new motor and tranny, relocate fusebox and battery, relocate wiring harness(es) for tuck, possibly paint the engine bay, reinstall steering column, install motor and tranny, etc. It sucks that it ended up being August when this all came about because the heat index is near 110* every day.

Im assuming years ago they were very overpriced and thats why they were not ever taken very serious... and most likely why the business and production went under. I see what your saying about the bigger brake set-ups.. but Im not 100% on whats needed to be done to make it fit.. shaving the arm or the caliper bracket may fix that problem. Hoping someone with some more insight or memory of them when they were released could chime in.

Wish I had the means and blueprints to reproduce these... and some other one off EF products. Survival of a single product company seems impossible nowadays tho.

Matt, Nice progress man.. cleaned up real nice. Never would have known it was even that dirty by some of your older pics. keep us posted!

Blu- good to hear your finally getting everything in order, sucks to have something like that hold you up.

What kind are they?

Quick question for those that have deleted a/c. The harness that plugs into the fan and a/c line, then runs through the firewall where the lines go through, do I need to retain any part of that? Pretty sure I don't.

I made some more progress tonight. I got all the front suspension out, auto shifter out, steering rack out, subframe out, sway bar out and I packaged up the entire a/c system that I sold in two days for $150.

No. From my memory it's plugged in to a plug running of the main harness, and the a/c is it's own separate harness.
