keeping the coupe! i found a spot to store it...

NA - I called my rep @ tirerack, Noah. I almost bought silver Kosei k1s at $97 a piece. but he offered me white ones for $77! saving $80 is a no-brainer and white should look clean on the red coupe.

I wanted white and several people told me they were discon'd. I plan on powder coating mine in a month or two.

It looks like very minor quarter panel rust on the driver side. I found local receipts from the mid-90s in there so it has spent its whole life in the South (OK specifically).

Very large side shots...

Why, someone needing a hatch shell? In a week or two I'll be ready to get rid of it.

now, gotta call King's tire and use our account to get a deal on Hankook Ventus RS3's.

I'm not sure, yet. I know it'll cost me $200 for powder coat and then a fee to dismount and remount/balance them. If I just order a new white set it would cost me $308 plus shipping ($50-60?) and the same dismount and remount/balance fee, but I could sell my nearly new silver ones for as much or more as the white ones cost me. Hmmmm....

that's my thoughts on the situation. lemme know, i'd just need CC info and your shipping address and they'd be on the way. the crazy thing is they don't list the white ones on the website and that's what i really wanted. and the price was better than used rotas, i'm convinced to keep the coupe now. I wish the CRX was cleaner... but I think my budget of $6,000 would be easily surpassed just by cleaning it up.

Dang it. I'm really irritated about this wheel situation.

I'm a die hard EFer, but that coupe does look really clean. That body style coupe looks really good when they are done well. Just promise me you won't buy those cheesy red/white tail lights for it.

Dude, what is up with you? Are you building a car or not? I though you sold the S2k and now have cash? What's the deal? I have so many questions. Why do I have so many questions?

I'm in OKC. When I parted out the wagon I couldn't get a salvage yard to take the shell so I ended up paying for half the tow charge for it to go to a recycling place. A thought this time around was to cut the shell into pieces and sell what I can (quarter panels, rocker panels maybe) and take the rest to recycling myself and actually get paid for it. The logic is that if I do it that way, I can pull all the suspension and sell it, too. Otherwise I have to keep it mobile, thus losing money or the parts I have to leave on it.

What is the right price?

The car is 1952 right now and I'm trying to figure out if removing the mirrors & rest of the interior that I have in there will bring it down to 1900lbs or less...
