That is the best I could find. I believe it to be a water bypass to the back of the intake manifold and the breather from the valve cover.

Hope that helps.

jsin - yup, find them when not needed, cant find them when they are...IF you have your old ones you may be able to recondition them - use a mr clean magic eraser to clean off the years of crap off of them - it really works! Mine were faded and cracking on one side. The eraser can bring em back from faded. If they're cracking you may be able to refinish with plastidip - it'll fill the cracks. Do many light layers, let it dry, it'll hold for a long time - you can do the window trim as well like that.

I did my audi chrome grill trim with it many years ago before it got popular, blacked em out and it looked OEM, never faded, cracked, peeled or any issues.
the problem is not that it is faded but the clips inside them that hold the clips that attach them to the car broke off or/and are missing... i was thinking of using double sided tape but i dont really like that idea much

Quick question you guys, maybe someone can help me. I have a 91 SIR and I am converting to five lug. I have stock SIR spindles, crv hubs (36mm) and da integra wheel bearings. I have everything besides the circle clips that hold the bearing and hub in place, I accidently threw them away. Does anyone know which car I can substitue these from or the exact size so I can buy a generic one?

DA integra's are 78mm
DC integra: I don't know
91 civic/crx si's are 72mm
99 si's are 79mm

Wouldn't you use whatever matches the wheel bearing? Da integra would be my first guess.

That's what I'm thinking but I just wanted to see if anyone had first hand experience. Since I couldn't measure the "lip" inside the spindle I measured the outside and it was 76.2mm so I'm assuming once expanded the 78mm DA circle clip will fit. Anyone else got any input?

Get the 78mm DA circlips. Same part number as EF8, refer HERE and HERE.

Personally I think the 5 stud thing is not a great idea, don't you have to turn down the hub?

oh yeah! You guys are awesome!!

thank you RBW and Freeman!!

Jsin, if its just clips that are broken, they are still readily avail from honda, i need to get a full set myself, as I'm 99% sure i'll break most of mine when i pull them to clean them up

as for the clips go chef, not sure, but the other guys seem on point. why go 5 instead of 4x114 though?

Yes you do but it's very little

i have brought the replacement clips, thats not the part i need. in the back of the molding there are some other plastic pieces that hold those clips to hold the molding in place, that is whats missing/broken.

Charlie- Whats the backspacing and size of your wheels? I saw in the traction bar thread you have the FFD Motorsport wheels. I am between those, 949 6UL nickels and some RPF1. Initialy will have some 99 Civic Si wheels though.

LOL, Andre, sounds as good a reason as any, may I ask which you're planning on running.

jsin - you may be able to have clips bonded to the back of the moldings, may be as good as you can get for now.

Coop - Did you guys see the new 15x8 RPF1's in 4x100 at Good-win-racing? No more convex face, nicely flattened with a little concavity.

RBW - any chance you no longer need that tube? I'll buy? Or anyone else that might not need theirs, let me know. I have the hoses, just need the double tube.

Signed up for autox this Sat at AAA raceway, finally...after many delays, lol.

Didn't see that.

RSZero1- Do you know how to calculate what wheels will fit? These are the three that I was looking towards. Also affordable for my build. Not in a rush to buy just confusing to me is all.

15x8 6UL

FFD Motorsport 15 x 8 "EVO1"

need to know a couple of things - what size tires do you plan on running and are you flared at all oh and how low do you plan to run?

The 949's have a 36 offset which should allow the use of, i believe a 205 easily, and maybe up to 225's with some minor fender roll, maybe a little camber, nothing extreme, some cases a little grinding of the rear hub carrier has been done to add a little clearance - i forget which may require that, but it is not the norm.

The FFD's have a workable offset 32, but you run closer to the fender, limiting either how wide your tire or how much camber you'll need to run.

The 15x7 enkei's in the 35, will run a 205 easily, but will need a fender roll (i'm running 15x7 et 35, 195's no issues, 205's need fender roll at least) et 41's can run 205's easy, not sure on inner fender well clearance for 225's, but autox guys swear by them...

the 15x8 enkei is a et 28, so it'll also work, but again, as it sits a little further out, fender roll will be needed, you may be limited to 205's and may need a little camber adjustment depending on ride height.

Stay away from 15x8 et 20 or such, if you want it for performance reasons, better options in better offsets, I'd use 28 at lowest to MAYBE 25, but again ride height, tire size, flare, etc will all affect this. I have a tire/offset calculator i'll pulled online in xcel i can send you, it helps give you a rough guide, esp if you start with sizes/offsets you know clear, it gives you a better baseline as everyone has a different idea of what 'fits' and what they are willing to do to make them fit...

PM me with your email and i'll send you the xcel

195/55s or 205/50s will be the tire size. This will be a performance setup with H2B. Not sure on the coilover set yet, most likely the progress though. Tires will be a Bridgestone RE11A for cost reasons. Later may step up to a more expensive 225/45/15 Toyo however they are a bit shorter but would provide a slightly larger contact patch.

Fender rolling should be fine. PM on the way.

Edit: Found a pic of Nicks car with what I was looking for.

I've run 205's all the way around since I started tracking in 2005. Looking forward to trying out 225's and may shove 225's in the rear as well. We'll see.

I eventually want to get a set of 15x8 +32 TE37's. I'll be running these as well. They are 16x7 +50 and the tires are 215/45/15 I believe.

That! is the coolant loop hose if you are running an intake! Not needed if you're running stock intake, but you could cut it up to make the little hoses off of the double tube if needed. ie - the double tube has the air and water bypass posted on the previous page, running an intake, you'll generally eliminate the double and just run the tube to the VC, that hose is used to replace the coolant line needed when you do - make sense?

How is the Mishimoto kit? I saw it online the other day and was debating picking up the kit...

Coop, Nick's set up should work for you, you can prolly go square though and run the 15x8 using 195's, 205's and 225's. 949 used to have exact spacing info on the website, i thought i had it copied down somewhere, but a call to 949 can also confirm the spacing detail, they had originally posted for Miata's, Civic's and VW's which size, offset, tire size and amount of work needed to make it fit.

One more note Coop, you can also go 949's in 15x7.5 which is max width allowed in autox, plus be able to run the wider rubber at trackday events.

Good info. Thanks. Thing about the 949s is they come in 15x8, unless I were able to locate a used set. Which would bring me to the RPF1s in a 15x7. I have time though before wheels are needed just going through and planning more of my build.

You sure that's what the hose is for? Seems a little short..

The radiator hoses were a bit tight, but everything fit fine. It's a copy of the old Samco kit, so it's missing the one big heater hose. You can supposedly order it by itself from Samco, I can confirm that tomorrow when I call Option Auto back to order it myself.

There's lots more pictures in my build thread:

Coop, you're right, I guess they discontinued the 15x7.5. Guess they didnt sell enough. The 949 in 8's should be good.

Also worth checking if you havent already is good-win-racing - 4x100 wheels for miata's, but a lot of sizes and offsets we can use. I'm also partial to the 14 RPF1's they have, but you'd have to open up the center bore.

One thing worth mentioning, since goodwin has the 15x8 rpf1's, i would think they will be more readily avail, vs. 949 having limited production runs - but 949 does stand behind their product - so you should be good either way. I had considered getting the enkei's in the 15x8, and have the backpad milled 5mm down, which would bring them to a 33et and very workable.

If you do the 15x7 RPF1's and want to run 225's, you'll have to do more work if you get the 35et, the 41et works up to a 225 easily from what I've seen/read.

Swede, I am 95% sure, but I could be wrong, it looks to be about right when I look at the routing on mine...
