and p.s. Anyone notice the amount of "time attack" or "track car" build threads going on by people who have never hit the track? It's killing me!

It doesnt bother me, some people have innovative builds. I think its cool to see functional cars, whether or not the driver races it or not.
Id rather see a well built track Honda than some pink car on streched tires and a turko k swap.

I plan on it. I will be starting my build sometime soon. I'm going to do some local autox to get a feel for the car and probably jump into scca. may attend some hpde events too as money allows.
really? im in tampa too. well seminole. that looks like a nice autox. have you ever looked into FAST autox? they're a good deal for the price.
Iv been meaning to go to the last few. The lca bushings are shot on the sedan (blox bushings blow) and I didnt feel comfortable autocrossing on em.
I should be driving the hatch after winter break, so ill prob go to a couple fast events.

Road courses are cool, too expensive for me at the time being.
NASA's Hyperdrive is only $50 for one session
only thing i can afford since i don't have the $$$ for a whole weekendwhat's "track style"?

limited passing and can only go as fast as the cars in front of you...the tC was holding us up, the the M3 let us pass. i never got the point-by from the Civic in front of me even though the whole last lap i was riding him, but it was his 1st time. this is basically a HPDE1, 1st time for many people on the track...that was my 2nd time
i was looking at the hpde's. i couldnt find any info on a hyperdrive event. i was going to see if they had it at any other tracks such as sebring or homestead.
