No cable reverse mount a master in your cabin and run lines. It works great with my exedy twin disc.

Didnt realize I had to notch in my rear cross beam also... wish I did that pre-powdercoating. figured buying the extra rear bracket would have avoided that.

Yes its a jdm gsr.

I purchased the "limited" black ef mounts that came with the hydro conversion junk(going sonem kit now) I also ordered a Left hand bracket(bolts inbetween the timing belt covers) and I also purchased the rear bracket, which im sure is actually just a Honda part.. maybe from a 90-93 integra as well. the rear bracket bolts to the motor and to the rear mount... The e-mail from hasport says that some modification may be necessary for the rear mount bracket. I thought I only needed to make space for the alternator. I know im not the first guy doing a b series swap, but it is my first time.

didnt have to notch my rear crossmember...

What dont you like about the hydro conversion from hasport? This is the one that bolts on to the tranny and utilizes the full length cable, right?

maybe I can get away without it. anyone else run into this?

Yes, thats the kit im talking about..
I havent even tried it yet, just think that a full hydro set-up would be much nicer. Its great that hasport came out with it and was really the only option for a little while. Ive read some poor reviews and cant imagine the pedal feel being what I would want. I guess I shouldnt "knock it till you try it" but I dont think anyone would argue hasport conversion over full hydro... Unless you use a cable tranny to suit the car, but using a hydro tranny makes sense to convert the car now that YS1 cases are becoming harder to come by.

Hydro is much cleaner looking to IMO!

yeah confirmed on the rear cross member
I didn't notch mine @ all.
Only thing I banged in was the front cross member and the side firewall for the alternator.
I also didn't need to modify any mounts. I used the OEM L bracket and hasport mounts.

People say it gives you a very stiff pedal, and you break stuff...That's because they didn't put it together properly. The main thing to worry about is over tightening the short pivot bolt that holds the arm to the actuator. It's only supposed to be 9 ft lbs or something like that. I did have trouble with the rubber bushing at the end of the clutch cable getting destroyed a couple times, so I put a wide worm clamp around it the last time I replaced it to prevent that from happening again. I would eventually like to do some sort of full hydro swap as well though. Like you said, it is soo much cleaner. And you don't have to worry about adjusting pedal through the cable.

The best part of full hydro versus the hasport is hte pedal engages sooner opposed to at the bottom of the pedal.

Meh, I ditched my full hydro set-up after breaking a clutch pedal and then a clutch m/c. The original sonem modified pedals didn't line up the m/c correctly. Not complaining since it was free. I just went back to cable...**** it. I'll continue to always keep an extra clutch cable in my car since I seem to break those too. Once I go K24, I'll try hydro again.

Does this depend on what MC or slave you use? My buddy with the Imola orange del sol from IA's clutch disengages at the bottom of the pedal. We tried bleeding it and it didn't really change. I adjust my cable so that mine disengages right around the middle of the pedal distance. I hate it at the top and at the bottom. If its at the bottom I feel like its not fully disengaging.

Nick, what clutch cable are you using? I use the one from a 90-93 integra.

90-93 integra cable here, too. I only buy OEM as well...not the cheap kragen one's that'll stretch out quickly.

I was looking for a picture in my photobucket and ran across this picture of my friend Emily. She's only a friend, but damn she loves riding in my car:

^^^ Is there a difference between using 92-95civic parts(master etc..) versus using 99civic parts? Im going to order all brand new OEM through Honda, just want to make sure I get the right stuff, or best stuff. heres my list so far(this is from a 92-95civic)

SONEM BRACKET KIT
46164-632-000 FLOAT
46920-SR3-A01 MASTER CYLINDER ASSY., CLUTCH
46928-SF1-000 SEAL, CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER
46930-SR3-013 CYLINDER ASSY., SLAVE
46966-SR3-A00 HOLDER, TANK
46972-SD4-003 TANK, CLUTCH FLUID
46973-SD4-003 CAP, RESERVE TANK
46975-SD4-003 SEAL, RESERVE TANK
94070-08080 NUT-WASHER (8MM) (x2)
95701-08025-08 BOLT, FLANGE (8X25) (x2)
Line to connect everything
Fluid

The part numbers on the master are different from 95-99 the slave is the same aprt number. Anyone know the difference between a 99 civic master and a 95 civic master?

What I would really like to do is buy another set of pedals after modifying my current ones, Use a YS1 case and build the trans to my liking, then go back to cable.. 90-93 Integra cable as well. The best part of the conversion is that it can be taken out and go back to cable with just swapping the pedals over. Maybe one day ill have Kseries money and re-use the hydro kit on that car as well. Or I may love the hydro feel and just stick with it.. Ill be sure to post up a review on all these different options once I get to them!

You better turn that to more than a friend.. or at least give her something else to love to ride on!!

...and HotSauce, buy my parts! Was the price not a good deal? Did you get my pm?
