good to know.. I have the black hasports for my other rex, but im not bending over for them again on the beater. the mounts that the kid had in are weak though. I found someone selling avids on here for 200$.. its either those or the innovative steel ones. appreciate the input.

are avid mounts good, minus the shiny aluminum ****?!

Haha, I have no clue. I've only run HCP and Innovative. HCP is looooong gone (I believe). And the hate for shiny aluminum is just my own opinion. No offense to anyone here...since most people run those mounts.

I just wanted to share a new EF forum with you guys.

www.eastcoastefcivics.com

The site was created to bridge the gap between 88-91 Civics drivers on the east coast. In the near future we hope to have a very nice meet incorporating cars from many states. I know H-T is dominated by west coast guys, but I just wanted to still share it with you all (and because you're not located on the east coast doesn't mean you can't join up). Hope to see a few of you on the forum and thanks!

I use Hasport. I had some old Place Racing mounts before, but they have long since been sold. I never had a problem out of them though besides the bushings sagging. I would love to have some stock looking black mounts instead of the poished aluminum honestly. These aluminum ones are such a PITA to try and keep clean. Mine are very dingey from years of non polishing.

thanks man, i used a reservoir from the 08 accord. it was cheap at around $10 brand new and it comes with the cap and seal and has a mount made on to it. I mounted mine in about the same place as yours and i used one of the holes for the fresh air duct

I think ill go with those innovative's.. only reason i was thinking avid is b/c i found a cheap set BNIB. Not trying to spend too much on this build.. just refresh everything.

did the pump today using the 99si water pump.. fits fine, just no dowel pins? are they for anything besides lining it up? the belt didnt fit, its about 2 or 3 teeth too long.

Ill keep ya updated, I have 10 days to get this car done before surgery and cold weather.

The belt didn't fit? What motor do you have and what motor was the belt for? I've never had a problem using a 1.8L timing belt on a 1.8L motor. Shouldn't matter what b18 it is "for". I hope I didn't mistakenly steer you wrong.

I love my innovative crossmember. Aren't the Avid mounts just a bad copy of the Hasports?

I have a b16a (89 jdm crx si motor) I used a 99si(still a b16) water pump. the belt that goes with that pump didnt fit.. its a little too long. the tensioner didnt pull it tight enough and side by side you could see the p72 belt was just a little too long. its cool...just need a 94 del sol vtec motor belt now... you didnt steer me wrong. i appreciate any advice.

the avid mounts look solid. just dont hear many people using them. innovative or hasport seems the way to go. innovative has a much nicer price so im going to go with them. wish i could figure out what mounts these are that i bought the car with and just replace the bushings. they look like some cheap ebay knock offs though.

ill post pictures of my 15 day restoration pre-surgery when im laid up in bed. thanks.

A tuck would make that bay look so much better imo.

Start with little things.. get rid of the wiper reservoir and lines. pull the ac completely out, those evaporator lines kill the firewall and once its pulled it clears up a good amount of space to put the fuse box. If you got some free time, flip the booster and tuck that hose... and the easiest, move the front ground to the back side. Looks good either way, just trying to help ya clean it up a little.
