Vega, iirc Bride only makes them for JDM cars, but since the 88-89 hatchback is very similar, they fit. One bolt hole didnt line u, so i had to make a slight modification to one of the rails. It was easy though. What was also very weird was the JDM ef9 stock seat rails bolted in perfectly, yet the bride rail for the same appllication was 1 bolt hole off.

Also, the carpet in my car is from a 90-91. I didnt know that when i bought it (was told it was from an 88-89).

Not 100% but I think all EF have 88-89 US style seat bolt pattern. I always here about seat pan swapping. And thats exactly what I had to do with my EF3 seat to fit in my 90

If you can afford to keep the stock stroke, sleeve it to 84 or 85mm. That way you would keep the rod/stroke ratio the same and would make for a really fun motor that loves to rev. But ultimately 99% of people are gonna tell you the 1.8 is better than the 1.6.

Looking for some advice with my Sonem Hydro kit.. I made another thread for it, but figured some of you EFers would know best. Any advice is appreciated.

Unfortunately, it IS NOT the same as an '88 or '89 Hf (I've owned both). It's one bolt hole off so it just needs to be modded to work then.

If anyone wants it I'll ship for $150.

Hahaha.. ill give you two bags of weed for the roll bar!

Im looking into buying another crx.. found a 88si with a b16, but leaky water pump.. and its the dreaded Y49 color (i like the color, but not the curse)... no major rust, but the motor swap scares me.. never bought a car already swapped.. should i be asking for papers for the motor? how can i ensure its not a stolen motor in it?

its just stamped b16a so i assume its JDM... so then i shouldnt worry about paper work or tags for the motor?

now i just have to worry about the leaky water pump... hmm.. dont know if this is gonna be a smart purchase.

i'd look for identifying markers that someone may have put on it and maybe HMO keeps track of the vins on the engines they sell. other than that, i wouldn't worry about paperwork

The timing belt and water pump can be changed in an hour.

Has anyone ever used a pusher and puller fan at the same time? I have a Koyo EG 1/2 rad and a shitty auto parts store 10" slim fan. I really dont want to get rid of it but was thinking about adding a better quality fan that pushes somewhere in the ballpark of 1600cfms. Waste of time?

Are you overheating? I run a 10 or 11" shitty auto parts fan (pusher) on a full length koyo radiator and have no issues. If you're not overheating are you just being paranoid? Understandable, but I'd say it's a waste.

I got either a 10" or 12" carquest special on a fullrace half rad setup as a pusher. Never overheated. Even on the dyno.

I've got a 10" autozone fan on my oe replacement radiator and mine never overheats unless I have AC on in stop and go driving around town or in traffic. I need to either go to a full size radiator again or convert my ac condenser to the 92-95 style half core.

yeah...its getting hot on me. I figured its the fan because I have replaced the thermostat, bypassed the fan switch so the fan runs all the time and a new rad cap. I can hear some "seepage" coming from the rad cap when I stop and pop the hood but thats when it gets hot. So the next step would be to get a fan that pushes some HIGH cfm's.
