yes check the plugs man. i did that before. i had my license plat lights on the back bumper plugged in wrong. make sure red is plugged into red and black with black. when i did it the fuse would blow anytime i hit the lights. and it ultimately got me pulled over. at that time i got a ticket for having no license or insurance. that was 2002 lol!

I have been in contact with John from JDP Engineering regarding the possibility of him manufacturing a lip for the EF sedan quite similar to the DA one below. Because of the similarity in shape, he may be able to use this one as a base for the EF sedan lip. He is asking me to locate someone in the LA area to let him borrow their '90-'91 front bumper to use for fitment. He quoted me $200 for the DA lip below which I wanted to modify for my sedan, but I can't bring myself to chop the ends of such a beautiful piece. Please PM me if you are interested and willing. I'm sure he will offer a discounted price for whomever volunteers.

ask him about production of one for the 88-89 front bumper.
If so I would be willing to lend him one of mine.

Okay, I unpluged the licence plate light to make sure it wasn't the cause. All were pluged into the right color, red to red and black to black. I tested it again and it blew a fuse! One of the last things I did was plug in the side markers but I don't see how that would be a problem. I'll check thos again and see if i blow yet another fuse

Thirdly - anyone have those taillight harnesses lying around?

Fourthlyiely - When you guys are painting cars are you using enamel or lacquer (spray can) and did you use adhesion promoter prior to painting a bumper?

you are popping fuses because you have a wire that is grounding out on the chasis. did you solder your connections for the side markers?

Are you talking about the side markers on the fender near the molding? I didn't, someone else did. when I bought the car. I believe the only wires connected are the jdm side markers. all the rest of the head lights, bumper lights and corner are dissconnected. so when trouble shooting, do i just remove the bulb to see which one blows the fuse and thos are the wire(s) i need to fix?

I'm talking about whatever you were talking about. You have a power wire somewhere that is exposed and making contact with the chassis causing fuses to blow. If it wasn't doing it before, then it is most likely whatever you were messing with recently. You are putting the correct Amp rated fuse in the slot, right?

A/C update.

Got lines charged with r134a (it was converted before I owned it). Turned on a/c compressor never kicks on. I haven't diagnosed it (had to get to my desk job).

Sigh. I didn't muck with the wiring for the a/c Maybe a fuse is out (condensor would probably still come on even if its fuse was out?))

Do I have to have 2 fans plugged up for it to work?

yes the jdm climate control plugs in but it will not work %100. everything will work minus the temp control. so you will have to manually change the hot/cold by pulling or pushing that cable

I would help if I knew what all these technical terms are

are you just trying to spray paint a bumper using a aerosol cans??
