ATTN: Does anyone know what's up with the blower motor under the dash? The service advisory I have says "on some models, the evaporator must be removed." Sh*t...that means my a/c has to be "drained" so I can remove this thing. I just can't get the blower motor out because of the firewall.
On another note, I finally installed the IMMACULATE climate control from my track car into the daily
Looks goooooooooooood.
I'm at a crossroads. Do I keep my vtec pr4 obd1 ecu that's setup to run crome, or do I convert it to Hondata s300?
Are all OBD-1 ecu connectors the same? i.e. a pr4 setup like mine to a p30 etc will just plug right up, or would repinning be an issue.
I like the reviews of Hondata and how everyone says it always works and is much more user friendly. Steer me back to Crome if you like I don't mind. I just can't get over paying a few hundred bucks to have Crome working up to a level of what S300 would do.

x2. What are you trying to do with Hondoodoo anyways? Crome is just fine, very tunable, and somewhat reliable.
Only problem I've had is launch control somehow kicking on while I cruise down the freeway. It would hit 4,000 rpm (where l.c. was set) and the car would stutter until I gave it gas and broke out of l.c.

both, usually its the vss has to be at zero and switch has to be in but depends on who set it up. my dads car will only work at a stop with pedal in. crome pro. airconditioner controller is neat too, and his vtec change over is set at 4k, lol but with the s80 4.4 box you are doing 4k at 75 so they set up the change over to only happen if the map sees over 3 inches of vaccum. I mean you can do all of that with hondata, buy why spend $300 for the s300 and then $300 to have someone to tune it.

no only the outside. I made sure i took it to a lowrider shop because they would know what they are doing.
They worked for a little while, these are the same calipers that seized up on me because of the seals not being installed right.

I've got a couple questions.
1) What is a functioning climate control worth? I recall selling the one from my hatch for cheap, then kicking myself because I didn't realize they break for people all the time and I could have got more.
2) You may recall my cat problem. For unknown reasons, my sedan has a 2 hole inlet and 2 hole outlet cat. The cat-back requires a 3 holes outlet. I can use the cat from the wagon, but on that car the exhaust manifold comes all the way back to the 16" or so cat. On my sedan the exhaust manifold comes down to an "A pipe" section 6" or 8" long, then the cat, totalling 24" or so. My question is, do the cheap aftermarket D series headers come all the way back to the cat, or do they utilize that annoying 6"-8" section? I'm trying to avoid paying a muffler shop to weld a new flange on there if I can just use the stock cat from the wagon that already has the flange and buy a Kamakazi or DC replica header.

AFTERMARKET D SERES HEADERS REACH ALL THE WAY TO THE CAT. AND RELOCATE THE o2 SENSOR AS WELL (IF I'M NOT MISTAKING)
YOU MAY HAVE TO TAKE IT TO A MUFFLER SHOP ANYWAY IF THE HEADER FLAGNE DOESN'T LINE UP WITH THE CAT FLANGE.
SOUNDS LIKE THE CAT. YOU HAVE IS A AFTERMARKET ANYWAY W/ WELD ON FLANGES

Here's another pic. Ignore the dirt, I guess I should wash under there from now on.

I found a guy selling the Kamakazi replica and a DC Sports replica. He said $65 shipped for either, but I don't know which one I should want.
Kamakazi...

DC Sports...

It looks like the Kamakazi will go all the way to the cat, eliminating that A pipe, like James said. Can't tell about the DC.

they usually have o2 bungs in both locations, and they reach all the way down to the cat. Measure from the rear flange on the cat of the wagon to somewhere you can mark like the oil pan or something, then measure from the front flange on your exhaust and to this point on your car that will tell you give or take whether what you are thinking will work or not.
Can HID ballasts get wet/damp? Mine's mounted underneath the headlights. Never had a problem with that, but I had all the factory undertray plastic when I did the initial install. Now I just have 1/2 a fenderliner to keep jank out of the doorjams.
CBE I'll quit being lazy and call Scotty to setup an appt.
que? fill me in dude. it's probably just forum drama lol.

It must be the handy work of that awful muffler shop. I'm gonna grab another Honda one from the wagon.
