ABS Master Cylinders have larger tube nuts and flares.

The bigger fitting on the abs MC (m12x1.5mm) still uses 3/16" o.d. Tubing. Its finding the an fitting for it that's tricky. I was doing a 94 ls booster and mc combo but couldn't find an a n fitting for the life of me. Although I'm sure people use them and have the part #. I ended up using a 15/16" mc from an eg with the 94 ls booster. It was enough braking power but my brakes still lock up in hot weather. I am now troubleshooting that

oh. so you gotta go to the junkyard take the fitting from an abs car, cut the fitting off your stock line put the new fitting on, and re flare the line.

I thought about doing that, but I wanted an fittings. Plus I don't own a 45 degree flare tool and decent ones are expensive. And anyway, I'm satisfied with the feel of the bigger booster and 15/16" MC. I can't imagine how the 1" would feel.

I think my brake fluid might be heating up and expanding causing the brakes to lock up. I didn't seal up the hole in my firewall that I cut for the tuck and the exhaust heat leaks through. Coincidentally right where my prop valve is located. It gets hot enough there to nearly burn my feet. And when they do lock up, I let some fluid out and it solves the issue for a while. But I didn't have lock up issues until I installed the new booster and mc? I'm tearing my hair out over this. I can also hear an audible air leak sound coming from the booster area. I'm going to try to replace the seal at the MC.

Morning guys, nice to hear the new addiction james, that is exactly what I am planning with my car. That's why I am not too concerned about it being super clean.

Okay guys, an issue, I ended up getting through about half of my list on Sun. Sat was a waste as I ended up waiting at my mom's longer than I thought to make sure her cable got hooked up properly.

I have an ED hood (hatch), USDM hatch t bar and front end recently straightened out. When I close the hood the latch on the hood and the receiver on the t bar are not lining up? it's off by maybe a half inch or less. I am out of adjustment for either - suggestions?

I am very tempted to say f'it and get hood pins, but I would rather get this working.

ADJUST THE LATCH ON THE HOOD. SOUNDS LIKE THE SAME PROBLEM JDM FRONT GUYS HAVE. bEST WAY IT TO TAKE OFF THE LATCH. THE HOLES USED FOR THE BOLTS, TAKE A DRILL AND MAKE THEM STRETCHED OUT SO YOU CAN MOVE THE LATCH FORWARD OR EITHER BACK.

I JUST FINISHED DOING THAT TO MY JDM HOOD AND NOW MY HOOD FITS SO FREAKIN PERFECT. I WISH I KNEW OR READ ABOUT IT EARLIER.

Also i just realized that the cable b16 trannys aren't that bad. I just did 215 miles on a half of a tank freeway driving.
And that was going between 75-80 mph the whole way
10 miles of that was street driving as well

is there a big difference in mpg between the cable and hydro transmissions?

I still got great MPG even running at 5k rpm on the freeway, I just don't like how loud it is. Mind you I have the RSR ex-mag exhaust too, which is super quiet. It's just a loud engine.

SORRY I'M @ WORK

I'm not 100% sure on this but I don't think it makes a difference between cable/hydro

Its the gears in the transmission. The lower the rpms the less fuel being burnt??
Also mods to the engine make a difference.

But yeah 5k on the freeway is pretty loud. especially w/out soud deadner

since my LS transmission needs the main bearing replaced, i'm looinkg at getting a B16 transmision and putting in the LS 5th gear...

don't know if it's a sign that the transmission going but it was weird...this weekend cruising at 80mph in 5th gear i was at 3800rpm when it's usually at 4100rpm

Damn that does look nice.

James, on the latch, I'll try slotting the holes, nothing ever seems to go back on as nice as it came off, lol.
