4-1 headers on ef's with hasport or az race mounts.

headers i am looking for but clearance is a huge issue: hytech/spoon/camp1320/rage/f1spec/smsp/jdm R.

i will be running a gsr in whatever hatch i locate and am looking at getting a decent header. ideally i would like a hytech since it ahs the best gains but if i end up flattening the bottom of it and it goes down a few ponies in the process-then i should have bought the one that made a few hp less but had better clearance/will take less abuse.

if you ahve one of these headers please take a shot of the underside of your car for me from the front end and then a side shot so i can see what your ride height is. please </TD></TR></TABLE>

RMF has awesome ground clearance and makes more power than anyone else. I was gonna buy one back when I had a B.

I saw one in PA for 3500 for the swap the other day.

meckanism, and all others that were lookin for a shorter cable...

Here is the only solution I have seen, Get a sir cable, and pull off the metal shank that goes into the firewall.
Cut the stopper off the pedal side. (on stock cable)
cut the cable to the desired length. (stock cable)
Use the sir metal firewall stopper (its better because I hear you can pull it out clean)
Then go get a cable stay from the parts store and make it desired length. A member on k20a did this and it woked.

I plan on doing this, but I need a sir cable. Also, as a tip, when you use the "cable stay" solder it after for extra strength.

Thanks Ryan, I will add cables to my list of parts to get when I go to Japan in June! I still need to find a junkard though!

If anyone knows someone who lives in Japan who can tell me where there are some junkyards that have old cars let me know. I will be in the Yakasuka area but I can take the train to wherever I need to go.

Yes, the K is expensive, but consider this:

Say you go swap a B series, upgrade the header, get the best mounts, get a traction bar, upgrade your fuel system, get some good axles, get a programmable ECU, get an intake, then upgrade the radiator all at once. Bam, you've spent $8-10k.

It's not that the K is that much more expensive, it's that you HAVE TO upgrade all these things up front to make it work. Most would agree, the upgrades are desirable.

In my case, I'm doing a ground up build with no deadline, so I can afford to take my time, save, and do it all at once. I look foward to the day I can drive it to work, get 35mpg, then take it down to the track and run 11s all motor. Plus, it's 220whp with DD reliability (not that mine will ever be daily driven).

It only requires 20mm more clearance. That's only an inch or so if you think about it. They could come up with a good looking one, if you ask me.
