haha dude...youll never warp your head by revving your honda motor to redline. Unless it overheats and your headgasket blows but that wouldnt be because you revved it. I took my 1990 sir1 B16 to 8k everyday for 3 years and its still strong with the new owner. well besides they burned the clutch up...

Overheating causes this not rpms. Just watch for valve float and detonation.

Just smash it. Speaking of which I think I'm gonna bounce off my limiter as I drive off to school

BTW, I deleted my rear wiper today. Wiperless-equipped-EG's-at-junkyards-that-have-the-rubber-grommet-in-the-engine-bay-next-to-the-ac-lines-and-small-enough-that-I-can-pocket-it-FTW!!!!!

PS:

what do you guys think of these? 13 x 6.5" picked up for $125

I think white on teal would look sick!

Same thing i used but you can get it from your EF firewall too. EF/EG/DC/EK they all have that little circle plug.

Yeah they would. I love 13's though. Nobody rocks them and I prefer them just because I think they suit the car well. With a slight drop I can still retain perfect drivability. Sheeet, I rock 13's now. If I could find a set of black diamond racing wheels 13 x 8, or 13 x 7 panasports I would do it with the quickness.

Revving to 8k isn't scary. Revving to 9k on your AP1 is a little scary though, because if you miss shift, it's bye, bye F20.

I definitely want atleast an 8" wide wheel on some R compound tires. I plan on breaking suspension parts with cornering ability.

that thing was a champ and only burnt the oil that the tec squirted out to cool off it's 4 lil coke cans

them lil coke can pistons kicked some ***. i made that 160hp work all it's lil heart out
( I just watched talladega nights where he's at the bar and goes. I'm as hard as a diamond in an ice store right now )
It's like that white snake video

Anyway, I don't rev the crx as much b/c I think it's on the virgin clutch. Weather is nice out though so I've been pushing even the a6 lately

I drove the hell out of my B16, so did like 5 other people before me. It had like 100k miles on it when I sold it, the kid who bought it blew a rod out the side of the block two weeks later. Actually I sold it to a friend who owned a shop, he installed it for this kid. His mom called up there after it happened.

"Do you guys offer some kind of warranty?"

"Mam, that motor is older than your son."

I used to shift my b16 at 9k. It was a B16 with CTR pistons, and cams yadda yadda. It was nice cause when you shift u don't drop out of the power as much. Now I only shift at 8500 with my stocker. Spoon built a k20a with f20c crank and they rev it to like 14000rpm. they shift at 11000rpm but it is safe to 14000!!!!

Internally yes it is stock as it came from the factory

with some god awful gaps in the followers which tick like expletive and a small leak past the valve stem seals

But i must reitterate than i seriously do try and kill this engine so i have some impotus to actually put my B18 in, unless the B16 dies i CBA sapping the engines over - just no point.

I do have a spare ECU that will allow it to rev to 9k - might try that

to explain how well mine does go

the blue coupe shown has a B18C4 and breathing mods along with various other work that is unknown to me

i know it isnt amazing evidence - but literally there is no point changing gear until you are JUST about to hit the limiter

all the power these engines produce is up at that end of the rev range so why not use it to its fullest extent
