This was my delimma as well, however no reasonably priced wrx wagons could be found in my area. Most were out of warranty and abused or babied and overpriced. I wanted the fit but couldnt forego the awd, enter: suzuki sx4 AWD & 0% financing

By the way guys, I have news on the State Ref situation.

I called this morning and spoke to Department of Consumer Affairs, Consumer Information Center at (800) 952-5210. Which was where questions regarding this situation were being directed.

Basically, the state considers the BAR ref's to be independent contractors. And with the current state budget being what it is, they do not have approval to continue to pay contractors working with the state and have therefore suspended their relationship until this situation is resolved.

According to them, this is purely temporary and operations will resume at a later date. NOW THE IMPORTANT PART -

IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY AWAITING BAR REF APPROVAL OR INSPECTION OF YOUR VEHICLE IN PREPARATION FOR CERTIFICATION OR PLAN TO IN THE FUTURE -

You will simply need to obtain a temporary operating certificate from DMV while you are awaiting inspection/approval. The DMV is aware of this situation and should not give you a hard time in obtaining these temp certs. I presonally recommend going through the AAA offices if you can as they are MUCH nicer to deal with.

Keep an eye on the news and once operations resume you can begin calling to get an appoinment to have your car Ref'd.

So DO NOT PANIC. Just wait it out.

I have given serious consideration to selling my CRX in all stock condition (with the DC header though).

I want an S2000. Someone want to trade? I am not sure if I am serious at this moment or just thinking out loud. But I doubt I could get what I want for it.

an S2000. Lol. Nah, I paid a lot when I bought it, and had the engine fully rebuilt (the D16A6) about 4 months after ownership, using a nonVTEC ZC SOHC head.

New everything. I'll post up pics later, it's pretty clean, looks pretty stock, is pretty stock. I honestly don't know what I could get for it, but it is an OG base to work from or to keep as stock.

Like I said though, I may just be talking out my a$$ as I really would like an S2000 as a daily and am considering what I would do to get it.

I figure this weekend i'll test drive a bunch of cars and see if I still would get rid of the CRX.

If I did sell the CRX, I'd still have the civic to mess with and vice versa though.

I've owned 11 Honda's (13 including my wife's), three EFs, one S2000. The S2000 is on an entirely different level (blasphemy! in this thread, I know). I dearly miss mine.

I've always liked them, they're not as baller as an NSX (one of many dream cars), but I just really like them. It wouldn't be just to be fast, but just a fun daily driver that i could drive wherever and if anything happened to it, I wouldn't be so far off base on ACV from insurance.

But like I said, it's just talk for now.

I think it would hand you your own *** in every category.

I too thought of an s2000 as a replacement at one point. Then i thought to myself, its still a honda which means it'll still get messed with parked at a mall or theater and Im trying to get away from that.

Im already there and while i *might* be able to get it in a straight line, the S2k is probably a better overall car, but thats expected with its price tag.

They dont clear 10.3" brakes and i dont think allow enough air flow for a serious car. Though my crx looks bad *** on some

g2 that would look killer. All sleepered out with the K. The CRX Sawblade Si wheels would look killer, and hella sleeper too, but the brake shortcoming suck too bad. Only that crazed redneck from NY would run around with 500hp, and stock brakes. That ******* kid is ridiculous. I am always partial to HX wheels too. You can clear 10.3 with minor mods, and they are OEM hot. You can fit 11.1" brakes on Si wheels, and GSR blades though. The only thing I hate about them is they weigh twice as much as they should. If you are going true sleeper, I say HX wheels, and OEM hubcaps.
